This course is insane the more I look into it. Not only the longest Par-5 in US Open history, but the shaved areas around several greens, a drivable par 4 out there, then 13 where you can hit the green and end up in a water hazard

Oh yeah - and lots of areas with no intermediate cut of rough. Plus the slope of many fairways are the opposite of their dog-leg direction.

Just crazy.

Apparently they had a pin position the last time the US Open was there that the USGA won't allow them to use again. Guys were rolling 20 feet by it on 3-4 footers.

The US Open is easily my 2nd favorite of the 4 majors. The courses are always so interesting, and it's pretty fun to see guys this good struggle.
