I don't think the band cares much for a small venue like Maryland Heights. It's a decent stop as it's Midwest and in STL where the band gets to see some family and enjoy some cool parks outside the county. But they're there because of the great relationship with the security folks at Verizon Riverport. They're going to be coming off of a weekend HIGH at Alpine and will probably put a good show on, but nothing special. I'm looking forward to it as it'll be the only one I can attend, but no high hopes

No, I'm not going. I mean the band will be coming off the Alpine high and giving it their all there for the prior weekend. Typically after a big weekend, they cruise through the one-nighters. I'm only getting to go to Maryland Heights this summer.

the airport is closer to the Venue than it is Downtown. If you're getting in at 1030 you may be able to hit the train to downtown. Cards will be in town so there will be a good amount of people at Paddy O's and around Busch in general. The arch is cool, I guess.

If you don't want to stray to far from the venue there is Dave and Busters and Hooters right there.

Edit: Don't go to the Casino by the arch unless you absolutely have to. The casino by the venue is 10000000 times better.

When you arrive, head toward the venue (70 West from airport; 10 mins or so). Pass the venue exit (Maryland Heights Expressway), go over the bridge and take Fifth St exit. Follow signs to "downtown Main St/Historic St Charles...like 3 mins from the highway). It's an AWESOME area filled with bars, shops and a cool riverfront park. They have some cool old school bars and such. Met some band members there a couple years back biking by the riverfront park. This will pass some time and give you some sight seeing. After, you'll go back over the bridge to first exit, make a right and another right and you're in the venue area (similar to Deer Creek's area if you've been there). There's a Dave and Busters in the complex where Wednesday is half price games and sure to be DMB fans. Then head to lots at 5ish. I/we will have a tailgate...I think Chad and I are gonna be playing some tunes on bongos and acoustic guitar. Welcome to join, along with anyone else!

FUCK, last year! I forgot about this until I was looking at the pics, anyone remember that bad wreck? Traffic was stopped for like an hour or some shit. Sat there in park on the highway going into town for a while.

DAMN!? No, I was in the venue area since 3 last year so I wasn't messing with all the traffic and such. If there's traffic probs this year, Chad, text me. I know all the back ways into that area.

Yes I remember!! I was freaking out we got a late start out of Nashville and got to STL about 2hrs before the show started and got stuck in the middle of that wreck
