Hopefully get PIT for Tampa to makeup. First time without ANY PIT shows!

Got Tampa PIT (first time) but struck out on WPB for lowers on either night. I'm hoping for a miracle in the public sale but it never pays off.

Just started a new job after being unemployed for 4 months so no tickets yet so I'll be glued to ticket exchange once I have the funds available. Been lucky the last few years getting lowers and pit so hoping the trend continues. Did pit in Tampa last year and never again (maybe it was the hangover).

Anyone know if anything is going on at PGA this year or is everyone left to do their own thing??

Pulled a pair of reserved for N2 although the public sale was garbage. Looking to upgrade as we get closer to the shows.

Is it July yet? Flying some friends down from Nashville for their first Florida run so I'm looking for 4 pit/lowers for Tampa, will take singles/pairs/whatever. Also need 4 WPB N2 doesn't matter where as long as it's not lawn and will split in pairs. Looking forward to an awesome tour

How was the PIT in Tampa, I know it's huge (which is why I actually was able to get those in the presale) but what made it something you wouldn't want to do again.

I know the pit in WPB is small, but how much do they pack it? Do you have any room to breathe, or do they stuff people in like sardines?

2010 WPB pit was half empty. Seems to have gotten fuller each year since; last two years it's looked as packed as ATL

I was in the Pit last year for night two and it was packed. Not as bad as ATL Pit is but more than I was expecting.

My guess is:

2010 - they sold as many Pit tickets as seats removed

2012 - sold 1.5 times

2013 & 2014 - maybe 2x (which is what Atlanta does), or maybe something just under 2x

Tampa pit is huge, it's not over packed, plenty of room to breathe...I'm sort of claustrophobic in pit sometimes but never have an issue there.

For those who normally do Tampa and WPB is it worth adding the Tampa show?
Of course DMB is always a good time but trying to figure out if it's worth it driving 4hrs after work & maybe driving back after the show.

Tailgating for Tampa has always been fun for me. I also think it is a great tune-up for WPB. The past couple of years, this show has been sneaky good.

Only you can determine if the 4 hour drive is worth it to you. It usually raining, and a lackluster set list, but you can check out actual past set lists if you want.

over the last few years the shows in Tampa have been great IMHO. i think tampa is usually better than N1 WPB as well

Tampa does seem to have been getting decent shows the past few years, for a mid-week stop. For me, living in north Florida, it's kind of a no-brainer... I can generally spare the vacation time, there's not that much extra driving (although it always seems to rain when you're driving across SR 60), and it makes the weekend into more of a vacation.

My only Tampa (2013) show I was cutting across the parking lot (and the few areas of grass) because it had stopped pouring 30 minutes earlier. I guess that was a bad idea because I stirred up some fire ants that kicked my leg's ass.

I'm not too scared and will be there early this year

PGA Resort contacted me and are contemplating putting together a DMB weekend.


Ants will NOT have an official party there, but just letting people know if they're looking for hotels still.

4 hour drives, torrential downpours, pop ups cartwheeling through parking lots, lightning and Fire Ants. Suck it up boys!!! The good things don't come easy.

We did PBSR for the first time last year, good group of folks stay there. Not as nice as their website appears, but on the beach (my wife's requirement) for less than $199/night, pool with tiki bar, group organizes a shuttle to/from the shows ($25/person each night last year). Rooms all have kitchens, dining area, separate bedroom and pullout couch in living area, balcony. And if you have kids (wife brings two nieces) there's tons of kid activities.
