Depends what you like to do. There are tons of breweries if you are in to that but it's a nice downtown area with lots of little spots to hit up. I generally like to hit up the rooftop bars/restaurants if I'm going to spend a day downtown.

If you will have a car you can always hop on the highway and go to the mountains. From the venue you'd be in the mountains in about 30 minutes. Red Rocks is in the foothills and even though there isn't a show there. It's a state park and has lots of great hiking trails and is on the way into the mountains. If you are looking for a crazy drive, you can take the drive up Mt. Evans. It's over 14k feet and would take 1/2 your day to get there and back.

I would not suggest going to Mt Evans if you're from sea level, unless you plan on being in Colorado a few days before the shows. That altitude difference will likely make you so sick.

I've taken people up there after they've been here for one day and if you aren't staying for a long time at the summit it would be fine. I don't take people that are out of shape though.

Anybody I have ever taken gets altitude sickness, it has nothing to do with being in shape or not. Hell, I've had people get sick just going to Red Rocks or Lookout Mtn if they haven't had time to acclimate.

I am sooo going to these shows! I can't believe It ~ finally Colorado! This makes the S.D. cut a much softer blow. I have so many peeps to visit here. Can't wait.

Thank you OP for titling this thread Colorado. When glancing over the tour dates originally on the dmb site I totally didn't catch this! Perfect time of year...

I've had completely different results. Normally the people that visit me get altitude sickness after a few days if at all. Dehydration also happens quickly at altitude so I always make sure my visitors drink lots of water the whole time they are here. Nothing worse than visiting some place and being sick.

I've had one friend come out and she got a headache almost immediately and didn't go away until she was at sea level. I also worked with someone that moved from Pennsylvania and had a condition that made him sick at altitude. He ended up having to move back east per doctors orders.

I was wondering the same thing. I've lived in Colorado a few years - never in Denver though. I've never heard of this venue. I'm wondering what the more premium tickets would be like

Just looked at the seating chart - I don't think it will be GA but hard to tell if there is a pit area. 17,000 with 10,000 in the lawn.

Seriously? I'm from Chicago and any time I've visited my sister (lives in Boulder) or my buddy (lives in Denver) I've been fine. Just drink a lot of water, eat a banana or two, and you'll be fine.

I've gone hiking up mountains, got drunk at a show at Red Rocks...never altitude sickness.

having just moved to the denver area, i'm excited to have a couple shows right here (even if they aren't red rocks). i used to go to like 7 shows a year when living back home in PA and i thought i would have a hard time getting to more than 2. and it'll be a nice break after camden to split my summer up. really looking forward to these shows. maybe i'll tack on another trip somewhere, but i'll be content with 4 shows this year.

Yeah they typically have a very small pit right in front of the stage. It's not very big at all.

    crossing my fingers!

Does anyone know if confirmations get posted (w/seat arrangements) prior to the public onsale of the show? If I can't get pit I really want to find a seat on the end of an aisle. I get a lil claustrophobic.

Glad to see Colorado back in the lineup this year! Also glad to hear the general consensus that this venue is liked more than Dick's; those 2013 shows were... strange.

Too bad it ain't Red Rocks, but DMB anywhere in CO is enough for me. Really looking forward to this!

Jordan ~ I have a good friend living in the springs that works at the boat. I might want to visit her after the show. If you want to carpool back let me know.

I've never been to Fiddler's Green but I think the reason it has never come up before is that it was owned by Live Nation until 2013 when the lease expired and was bought be AEG Live.

Will these shows sell out? Yes. Probably not on the day they go on sale, but lower levels will be harder to get than people think. Fiddlers is cookie cutter, but much smaller than Chula, Irvine, Atlanta, and Dallas (all incarnations of cookie-cutter sheds I've recently travelled to). This is much better than Dicks and if the curfew is in fact 11 now for weekends, I'm going to say I'm excited to attend. When AEG bought Fiddlers, they did so to make it a better experience for fans. Hopefully this is true for us! Hope everyone is well! Should be a fun summer of posting in here.

Dicks kind of sucked when we came in two years ago but that Field GA was the closest I got to the stage all summer and Snoop Doggy Dogg put on a hell of a pre-show.

We're in for Colorado again if I can swing it before the Gorge.
