I had GA tix and was about 20-30 ft back from the stage in front of Jeff that night and the people around me were definitely into it. However, the feel of the overall crowd seemed to be lacking. From the tapes there is barely any crowd noise and the Jimi verses are pretty quiet. Furthermore, after the crowd was so quiet during Jimi, Dave himself sang the "People in ever direction" line.
I was at Wrigley N2 in the upper deck and it felt like the crowd seemed to be into it much more. The crowd on the tapes (not the live release) is REALLY loud.
Btw, MSundberg, were you in line at PNC outside of the centerfield gate with Parkmandrill?
