It was absolutely incredible. I've seen some pretty great comics live (Louis CK, Seinfeld, Jim Gaffigan, Pablo Fransisco, etc), and Burr was far and away the best one. No knock against the other comics, as all of them were a great time and hilarious as well, but Burr was easily the best. The man is as good as it gets.

I’ve seen his specials on Netflix so many times, and he still makes me laugh. He’s a great standup comic, very underrated if you ask me.

Netflix is moving further into animation, giving a series order to a new half-hour based on the comedy of Bill Burr.

F Is for Family, a six-part series, will debut in all Netflix territories in 2015 and counts Burr, Laura Dern and Justin Long among its voice cast. It marks the third Gaumont International Television series on Netflix, joining popular genre series Hemlock Grove and upcoming cartel drama Narcos.

“Bill Burr’s stand-up specials are wildly popular for us worldwide, and we’re looking forward to presenting his nostalgic and unflinching take on the family comedy in this original, animated series,” said Netflix original content vp Cindy Holland.

The series marks another entry in Netflix's growing comedy catalog. Fellow animated half-hour BoJack Horseman, already renewed for a sophomore season, joined Orange Is the New Black, Derek, House of Cards, Lilyhammer, Hemlock Grove and the rest of the streamer's growing catalog in August.

F Is for Family comes from Gaumont and Vince Vaughn’s Wild West Television. “[It's] the show I've always wanted to do," said Burr. "It captures all the characters of my childhood the way I remember it to be. Fortunately Mike Price and everyone at Wild West seems to know the same people I knew growing up. It's going to be a lot of fun to tell these stories."

Comedy is a priority at Netflix, as evidenced by its most recent orders. Live-action comedy Grace and Frankie, starring Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin, arrives in 2015 — and a late-night show from Chelsea Handler is also in the pipeline.

Burr is repped by APA and 3 Arts.

I was in San Diego for a design consortium last week and caught Bill at a Casino right around the city. Heard most of what's being worked out for MSG. I can promise you, if you liked his last netflix special, you will be blown away.
