I don't agree - not with the way they divvied up the incentives among the packages.

Get the vinyl, you still need to get the CD or iTunes (which are not available as a vinyl bundle).

iTunes preorder not announced until after the physical preorders were marketed for a little while. iTunes preorder offering the instant gratification of the album on June 2nd, no shipping costs, no waiting for the mail to arrive.

iTunes pass offering live tracks not available with physical preorders, physical orders offering Alpine not available with iTunes preorders. iTunes pass offering Shake Me and Hands of God in advance of June 2nd.

I will give you - the hardcore fans (I would actually consider this to be 90% of Warehouse members) are probably the only ones doubling up. And this is a society where illegal BTs are becoming the norm even for those that "support" the band.

I think they squeeze an extra 80k copies out of the package array.

old fans that left after SU are going to read the reviews and want to see whats so good about it, so those will get added in. whether they come back is another story, but they're going to listen to this album. members of AM and the other various fan sites are probably enough to put sales to 100,000 on their own. people who just like music and don't listen to DMB will get the album because its a big name band getting good reviews. plus all the normal fans who go to their one or two local show(s) each year who don't come on here or care or even know about the Warehouse will buy it because its one of their favorite bands releasing a new album.

I think any old fans that are interested in hearing this or any casual fan of the band will download the album rather than buy the album.

If you sell even just 10 copies of the same song on an album digitally, it counts for both single AND an album sale.

ahhh i love that idea...someone smarter than i needs to figure out a way to at least get it somewhat accurate.

Personally, i've purchased four different copies alone...i think they'll sell 500,000+ i really do

Based on the overall decline in album sales, I doubt it will reach 460,000 as the previous 2 albums did...but I'd still expect it to get to 400,000 or so. It will be #1 for 1 week, and then get throttled by the Black Eyed Peas album the week of 6/9.

umm, source please? That makes absolutely no sense and is certainly not listed in Billboard's methodology.

If one user buys at least 10 songs from an album, I can see that counting...but it would make no sense to count single's sales as album sales.

AM has 150,351 registered accounts. some of them are alters, some are probably old members who left, and some are probably people who are not huge fans but joined out of curiosity. i'd say its likely that 75,000 members (half) will buy the album. now add in those who are buying multiple copies. so put it to 85,000, which could even be higher.

then you have TDC and the WH. there is a lot of overlap from one to the other, but there is still a good amount of people who belong to the WH who do not go on AM. i believe there are over 100,000 WH members, and not all of them are AM members. i don't see why anyone in the WH would NOT buy the album, considering they are paying members of the band's fan club. i don't see how 100,000 copies can't be sold just by us.

It will be #1 without competition. Both Green Day and Eminem's CDs will be in their 4th and 3rd weeks of sale during BWGK's first.

Obviously, all of those sales will count together...I wonder if the CD/DVD + CD would be #1 on Amazon's chart ahead of Eminem and Greenday.

I think it's pretty amazing that the $50 box set broke the top 100 in their music sales.
