Certainly nothing after the 90's. I cannot listen to it slowed down.

I love the Crash version (which I think might be longer than ANY live performance) but I might have to say Red Rocks since that was the first version I ever heard, in December 2002.

    Im surprised no love for live at mile high 2008. Tim shreds in that version & that version made me truly appreciate the song. Honestly, it never did anything for me before. They abosuletly killed it in ATL this year as well.

    Absolutely. Haven't listened to many 90's versions so I won't argue this is the best ever, but my God listen to the emotion they play it with. I remember back when this show happened there was either a photo or video where it was pretty clear Carter was crying while they played this one.

    Personally I think anything with Tim on it shouldn't really be in the running, I think he just doesn't fit with the spirit of the song, but seems I'm in the minority.

    Also just listened to 8/19/08 and see nothing that distinguishes it as better than any other version from 08 onward. And yes I'd consider myself a "true fan" lol.

    For me it would have to be Warhouse 8 vol. 1 version. Everything from what Dave says in the beginning to LeRoi absolutely killing it. The song in general helps relax me. Definetly one of my fav's.

    Of the ones I have heard or been present for, Gorge N2 last year stands out. Raiders interpolation, Tim's solo was really laid back and smooth. I've heard this song a lot in the past few years and have grown a little indifferent, but when they were playing this one I remember thinking "wow, they are really nailing it right now." Give it a listen if you haven't yet.

    Not the best version, but I really enjoy the one from 12.03.13 in Johannesburg. Masekela's addition and Tim's solo are really well done IMO. I think it's a great version.

    I tend to listen to Lt 25. For whatever reason, I cling to the improv lyrics for the 2nd verse. The long awaited return and god, I love it slowed down.
