I liked the fact it was stripped down, smaller and more intimate. The band seemed to really dig this set-up.
However, it's as if they didnt really trust their own boundaries and stuck with a pretty consistent rotation.
Maybe if they use this set-up more frequently in the future, we'll see more variety and risk taking.

Risk taking...this tour was a risk that Dave even said in an interview before the tour started. The hype, expectations and possibilities were endless. I enjoyed the two shows i went to but this tour thus far has not lead up to my expectations & i think that im not in the minority in with what im reading on these boards.
The possibilities that could have happened on this tour and didnt is such a let down. Not only, did we all expect other songs in the acoustic rotation such as jimi, seek up, you & me, diggin a ditch, granny, mercy (which i really wanted), if only...i could go on forever, but there hasnt been much variation from
songs that are played acoustically then electric. That really sucks. If the band keeps this format, are we never goin to hear bartender electric for quite sometime? Plus, the fact we should be hearing 2 full sets is alet down. We should be getting two 80-90 minute sets each night & thats not the case.
I guess my complaint is that with a tour with all the hype around it & the band taking a huge risk it has been a somewhat dissappointing. I say somewhat because i did have a good time at the shows i attended & i will always continue to go to shows no matter what. I love this band & no matter how i think it could be better im always going to go. I think most of us are that way too.
