They weren't wrong though. Based on VCU's resume during the regular season, they didn't belong in the tournament. That's not taking anything away from their remarkable run over the past two weeks, but it's true.

I don't know why I'm being made out to be the bad guy right now. I fucking love VCU, this is great for the game. The question wasn't about how good they were, it's about their resume. When the brackets came out, they were one of 2 or 3 teams who just didn't stack up to those top 3 teams who were left out.

In jest, I was saying the Committee was wrong, and who cares if they used the eye test to give a team an edge, because they were obviously wrong. Because resume resume resume. So the Committee was wrong. VCU doesn't belong.

Yeah, what people forget is that a lot of bubble teams, given the chance, could do what VCU is doing. VCU didn't deserve the chance.

I don't know that a Butler/VCU Final Four is good for the game. The ratings are going to be atrocious for that one. Its one thing if these schools were taking on a powerhouse. But two mid-majors wont make the networks happy.

This may be the biggest upset I've ever seen. VCU or Butler will be in the Championship game. Unbelievable. And they will be going up against a goliath in Kentucky/Carolina/Uconn. The set up is just like last year. I bet CBS is loving this!
