If I'm reading this right, that means I know twice as much as she does. My co-worker who took pics last night commented on Facebook that she thinks Sam looks like Kate Middleton, and a few people agreed. Do you have any links that provide advice from royalty? Queen Latifah doesn't count.

I know people who took less time to get engaged and have been happily married for years, as well as couples who didn't engaged for a couple years and either called it off before the wedding or got divorced within a year or two after it. I don't think there is a right or wrong amount of time. It all depends on the couple.

Not long after Sam put pictures up on Facebook last night, one of her co-workers who is waiting on a ring changed her status to something like. "This isn't the right thing to say, but I feel so jealous, sad, angry, ugly, fat, and hideous right now." The girl is ugly, fat, and hideous, but honestly, who does that?

It's the Facebook generation. Most people are jealous assholes. Sounds like hideous girl was too.

Also on that note, I will never understand the people who go batshit crazy about wanting to get married. Yes, it is a special day, but quite frankly if you are with someone long enough shouldn't you have had those conversations about where you see things going? Especially if you're in a really great relationship, why would somebody become so insecure about "having a ring"? I feel like that something really dumb to worry about.

That's not directed at you Bryan, it's the crazy chicks like the one who commented on that picture.

Freaking Facebook. We weren't in a hurry to put anything up on there, but as we were calling people they all asked about we were going to post about the engagement. We ended up putting it on there faster than we would have otherwise because eventually someone would have broke the news instead of us.

At least she was honest about it. It's hard to always be happy for people, even when you should be.

And if I were to have been honest, I would have responded by saying, "Maybe if you shaved your legs your boyfriend would think about getting you a ring, Sasquach." There's a little thing called tact though. I completely understand why she felt that way, but that doesn't mean she had to go and put it on the Internet.

Maybe the blob's boyfriend doesn't want to put a ring on a mopey jealous person's finger.

    Edit: And the hairy legs.

I have a date with a co-worker this Friday. I've dipped my pen in Company ink once already since I started working here and it hasn't ended awfully, but less than ideal. This one is hot but kind of dumb. So we'll see how that goes. totally want to do sexy stuff with her though.

^ Oh. I started writing down some of my sexcapades. I'm not sure how to write it all out, but I'm at least getting the details down so I can start it into something.

Congrats Bryan. So the guy asked me to officially be his girlfriend and it was pretty cute. We are planning a trip soon, we both work a lot so this is well deserved. Any suggestions on a nice long weekend get away?

Thanks! Either go some place neither of you have been so you can explore it together or hole yourself up in a bed and breakfast for a weekend and make like rabbits.

I know plenty of people who have had that talk, but girls still are irrationally patient. They won't always believe you and your plan. That's where most of the drama comes from.

Take it from me, I went on a trip to LA after knowing my last gf for 3 weeks.

After a perfect start, the trip (and the sudden seeing each other 24/7 for 4 straight days) changed things.

No, that was Vegas with the current girl. Still going 9 months strong!

We coincidentally were both going with separate groups. The other was an actual couple trip for the Rose Bowl.

Alli if there was one problem I'd say I've gathered from your posting is that you tend to move through the relationship milestones way too fast.

For realz. Alli, weren't you just saying you've been banging way too many people like five days ago? Slowing it down isn't a bad thing you know.

I did but that was not at the moment I wrote that but I see your point. We seemed to make it "official" because it cleared it up that there will be no anything with anyone else.

You never seem to focus on actually building a relationship with someone. Seems like you're trying to race through each milestone. The goal should be you build the relationship and then all of that other stuff naturally arises out of it. I can't tell if you're doing it because you get emotionally attached too quickly or you're completely detached.

Take Lion King for instance, you pretty much knew from the get-go that he wasn't good for you but yet you still went on more dates with him, had sex, and kept hanging out with him. All in the span of like a week and a half in which you knew he wasn't right for you.

That's the vibe I get and it makes zero sense to me.
