***Official Riverbend 2015***

Alright guys, I don't post on here a lot, but I'm always in for the Riverbend show. Been every year since the mid-90's, and I wouldn't miss it for the world.

I know that there is already and official "Ohio" thread, but I have to be honest, I couldn't care less about all the plans of people going to Blossom, and I'm assuming most of them don't care about the Riverbend details. The venues are separated by 250 miles, and a 4 hour drive.

Can we start up a thread for RIVERBEND only? Who's with me?

Been in the PIT the last 2 years, hope to see you all again there on FRIDAY! June 6th!

You can't talk DMB trends without mentioning Riverbend and Halloween, I know that to be true.

Can anyone offer any advice on where to stay for this show? I usually go to Deer Creek but have to cut it to a 1 nighter since the Lil guy was born...any input is appreciated.

Couple options but if you want to avoid hassle/traffic...you're best option is to stay off of Beechmont Ave/Eastgate area so you can cut around 275 or Kellogg Ave to get to and from the show. There is a new Racino at the horse track next to Riverbend so you can spend time there before the show/lots are open if that is something you like to do. Other options include Northern Kentucky area, stick to around the 275 loop in my opinion.

I was hoping and hoping and hoping that last year they were going to come out of ASTB into Halloween. They certainly did. Let's keep Halloween rolling here in Cincinnati!!!!

The only time I stayed up there for a show was at the Embassy Suites in Riverport because of the free happy hour.

I like the Racino idea...we had considered staying new the Harrahs casino downtown and then cabbing to and from the show, but this may be a suitable option. Thank you!

I like this idea too..how far away is that? Did you drive to the show? We usually cab it at Deer Creek.

It's about a 20 minute drive, obviously more with show traffic. Luckily we had a DD for the night. Embassy Suites usually cost a little more but honestly the free happy hour makes it worth it. Anytime UofL plays up there that's also where we stay. Free bourbon

I would also suggest Hofbrauhaus in Newport to eat. One of my favorite joints in the world.

I go to Cincy frequently (4 hour drive from VA) and generally stay in the Northern Kentucky area around Florence. Its probably a 20 minute drive to Riverbend from there though. There are probably closer hotels. I generally go up for Reds games and like the ease of staying in N KY. Plus that's the route back home for me.

Where do you live in VA? I go up to see the Reds all the time as well.

Soutwestern part. Near the KY line in a town called Wise.

Looks like I'll be looking for Bend tickets elsewhere. Got declined through the WH. Was accepted for Raliegh and Charlotte though.

Do you have citi access? If so there are still upper pavilion available and maybe better if lucky. If not, I saw someone was selling a pair of upper pavilion seats on the Ohio 2015 thread.

I don't have citi access... I figure finding a pair of seats won't be that difficult, even if they're just upper pavilion.

Got confirmed for upper pavilion. This will be my first show at riverbend. What is some good pre-show and post-show festivities? I've been to Cincy tons of times but never near this venue

Trying to buy DMB Tix at the public on sale time is like beating your head against the wall. I jump it the second they go on sale, and you're telling me LAWN is the best available? Man I hate ticketmaster

That being said, I almost always just wait until a week before the show, and some tickets always pop up on ticketmaster, or I find a deal on Craigslist.

Fair warning to any other Ants out there looking for Riverbed tix, do NOT buy any limited viewing tickets. Those tickets at the far edge of the pavillion are AWFUL. I'd only recommend them if you are blind and just want to hear the music!

I'm having the same problem. Stupid ass ticketmaster. Looks like I'm going to have to wait until its closer to the show and pick some up off of either Stubhub or Craigslist.

Lawn at Riverbend isn't worth it.

My girlfriend bought tickets online for Section 700 Row JJ Seats 766 and 767. However, Riverbend's map doesn't show those seats exist. But there's no way they'd sell tickets that aren't real, right? Am I probably safe in assuming that they added a few seats and never bothered to update the map?

It's still only showing that Row JJ goes to 764.

Hmm well maybe they have changed or removed some of the handicapped seating? Regardless you'll be on the outer edge.

I don't mind where I sit. It'll be her first show, but my 14th. I'm just happy to be going at this point.

Ha true... I pulled Sec 300 Row L like 2 or 3 seats in from outer aisle. It says obstructed view on them.... how obstructed, I am not sure yet. But it still is a good way to kick off my summer leading up to Deer Creek and Alpine.

Those outer edge seats put you looking at a brick wall. Always had luck getting seats the last week or so on drops. Don't have to worry about purchasing now since I get in for free.. Of course working at the venue as a side job doesn't always allow the full concert experience and fun...

Ha great.... that's what I thought. I'll continue to look. I may have someone that needs a pair of pavilion that I could sell these to if I find better.
