That's fair enough. It seems like most people don't understand it.
Maybe people prefer DMB to D&T and would rather see more full-band releases?

People have the right to any opinion, but if you're interested in more DMB shows, see the other 20+ live trax, or maybe even the whole new DMBLive series. Judging on your reaction to this, you must fucking hate Live at Luther.

My reaction to this? I've said they were good shows. You're everything that's wrong with this site, since apparently you can't fucking read.
If you read the full thread, you'd note that I had said that I wasn't a huge D&T fan, so of course I fucking hate Live at Luther!!!! Oh wait, no I don't. I think it's a decent release. Excuse me for "being everything that's wrong with this site" because I don't get a fucking hard-on for D&T shows, no matter the set.
My reaction is this - Cool shows. I can see why some people are disappointed, as they'd rather have full-band shows. My angst, no bitching.

1. You say that you're disappointed that these are not 2 full band shows. Were you really expecting TWO shows to be released at once? I doubt it.
2. Whatever team made the decision to release these two shows obviously made a conscious effort to give us as many songs that have not yet been released as possible. Many of these are D&T/Dave solo only: Hold Me Down, Dreamed I Killed God, Tangerine, Weight of the World, Is Chicago Is Not Chicago save ONE full band performance. Would you really rather another show with the umpteenth versions of the songs we've seen time and time again? This is an effort to give us something totally unique and the number of people that are shitting all over it is astounding.

1. At any given time would you have expected two D&T shows to be released at the same time? I understand what you're getting at...but it's completely invalid. Two shows were released. To some people two full-band shows > two D&T shows.
2. Hey, like I've said, I have absolutely no problem with these shows. I think they're good shows. It will be cool to get DIKG and Hold Me Down.

Once again, I think they are cool shows. I have absolutely no problem with them. But I don't think it's bullshit for people to be a little disappointed about getting D&T when they wanted DMB. Some people (like myself) don't get that excited for D&T releases, and I don't think there's anything wrong with that.
