Looks dank as fuck.

"A f-f-f-f-fuckin' spoon?!?!?"

Yeah, that looks pretty good. I can never tell if I like Kristen Stewart or not.

after the promise of MONSTER HOUSE, it was really disappointing to see that Gil Keenan would, of all things, then go and do a Poltergeist remake (and Sam Rockwell for starring, for that matter). I mean this has been as completely pointless as any other of the recent 80s remakes, horror or not. and the Point Break thing, that just feels like the Total Recall remake all over again.

and I love that part of the reason that the studio gave for putting the "It" movie on the backburner was that Poltergeist's marketing apparently showed that a scary clown figure wasn't really all that scary Tim Curry absolutely ruled as the Pennywise character, but overall that miniseries was filled with plenty of early 90s cheese (not unlike "The Stand" one).

Finally got around to watching Battle of the Five Armies. Sad to see the Middle Earth saga come to an end, even sadder that it ended with probably the worst film of the series. Woof.

Also-Hobbit is god awful. This is coming from someone who lives in New Zealand surrounded by people who are completely obsessed with it.

I think I was about 16 the first time I saw it. So it was right in my wheelhouse.

Still holds up s a good movie, IMO, but it has such a personal place in my heart as well.

I hated Unexpected Journey so much, I didn't bother watching the following two. And this is coming from someone who was obsessed with the LOTR trilogy in high school.

I think Hobbit fatigue just got to me on the 3rd one. They should have ended the 2nd one with Smaug attacking Laketown. It felt like a TV show cliffhanger to me. I almost expected a "last year on the Hobbit" teaser to start the movie.

Battle scene was also extremely underwhelming.

San Andreas takes the week with about $54mil domestic but the real story is Pitch Perfect 2, taking in $147mil domestic total tally so far and $228mil worldwide, on what no doubt is a paltry budget by comparison to earnings.

This is Where I Leave You.

The movie was okay, not great. I liked the actors well enough but there was just something missing.

Don't agree with this. I enjoyed the movie a lot, but there was no substance to it.

However, I am drawing a blank on thinking of other great post-apocalyptic movies.

actually in I think what was the most recent "Movie Fights" edition from the Screen Junkies gang, one of the questions they debated was which post-apocalyptic movie world would be the worst/hardest to actually live in. (obviously a different question than the BEST OF those sort of movies) Children Of Men wasn't even used, but I know two of the answers argued for were The Road and The Terminator (which I think won)

Still processing this flick. Not sure if I liked it, or if it was a bunch of sensory overload that I'm just having trouble processing. Not sure exactly what the point was, or what the walk away was supposes to be. Shrugged my shoulders and said oh shit at the end.

I think it is hovering around a C+/B- for me.
