I was 5 in 1990 so it was really when I was getting into sports and starting to understand them, the beginning part of the 90's anyway. I liked them because while they didn't win they seemed to have so many "dirt dog" type players between Varitek, Nixon, Daubach, Valentin, etc. That was the time where I would walk into Fenway and start seeing the field and just have my jaw drop because it was all new and bigger than life, plus aside from '96 the Patriots were consistently irrelevant. That's a cool story about O'Leary, I had a few phone calls with Derek Low because he was hitting on my (single) neighbor who's kids I babysat, they went out a few times until she realized he was married.

It's an awesome place

I was pretty lucky my mom dated a guy that worked for the organization during the 90s so i got cool behind the scenes access, and hundreds of games

Yeah and BC / ND / UF are my three favorite teams so seeing two of them there would be crazy, Fenway definitely isn't my favorite place to see a concert in terms of sound but the "tailgating" is infinitely better IMO
