Locker and Oregon both have a week nine bye so I would need somebody for then but I'm thinking about just cutting Hoyer and worrying about a week nine replacement in week nine.
Your QBs are not solid enough to only roster 3,
especially for the sake of shitty Marvin Jones.
    Keep all 4.

Just out of curiosity, why are you so against Marvin Jones? The guy has all of the physical attributes to replicate the kind of production he had last year. It's not like he was just getting lucky by being open. Is it just the fact that now teams have tape on him?

He doesn't have "all of the physical attributes".
The Bengals run a completely different offensive system.
You have oodles of talent at WR. Top 4 also have completely different bye weeks.
No smart person will trade anything of value, like an RB (Ryan Mathews) or QB (because of scarcity), for Jones.

If you were weak or had questions at QB, would you give up a QB for Jones?
If you had Ryan Mathews on your roster right now, would you give him up for Jones?
Hypothetically without major injury, who starts least often for your team : Hoyer, Mathews, Jones?

How the hell is Ryan Matthews on the wire in some of your leagues. Hell, how is Forsett still on the wire? You guys play in 4 team leagues or something?

I mean odds are I'm dropping Jones tomorrow morning first thing for Mathews I'm just wondering why you're so staunchly against rostering him.

And honestly, I don't think it's too crazy to think that Jones could put up better numbers than both Vincent Jackson and Percy Harvin. I love Percy Harvin as a threat to go off weekly, but he hasn't exactly lit it up since week one. And we know Jacksons deal.

Jones would basically just be insurance in case one of the two of them completely falls off the WR radar.

Mine is a 10 team league but like I've said before, it's A two quarterback league. So much stress is put on that position that people end up dropping decent players just to have a starting quarterback for that week.

IMO no starting rb should ever be on the wire, even when you have to start 2 qbs.

I have a league where we start a QB, two rbs, three wrs, a te, a te/wr flex and a wr/rb flex.

Best available WR (by points scored thus far): Donnie Avery
Best available RB "": Antone Smith

This is a 10-teamer??? Yeah, no one with a brain is trading for Jones. Your free agent pool is deep enough as is.
Besides the offensive shift to Bernard and Hill, everyone else around Jones is more talented than him (Green, Sanu, Eifert) too.
Not to be forgotten are his health issues. Let alone a broken foot, and now multiple ankle injuries.

There is literally zero appeal to him. 10 touchdowns last season does nothing for anyone this season.
Heck, you saw 4 of those 10 versus the Jets last year bud. Plus 1/3 of his receptions and his yards came in that Jets game+Week 17. Talk about stat-padding.
If you feel unsure or unfulfilled at QB and RB, as evidenced by most of your posts so far this season, ditching a QB or passing on an RB for Marvin Jones is a horrible idea man.

You are arguably giving up the two best players in the deal. I say no unless you're absolutely stacked at wide receiver.

wouldn't mind taking Forsett from someone else though.

Speaking of Forsett. Him or Andrew Hawkins for the flex spot?

Also: Thoughts on Asiata this week? I still hate Thursday night games.

RBs usually perform well on Thursday night

but when it comes to Thursday I live by the motto "when in doubt keep them out"

Well my only other RB options are Foster/Blue and Jennings. Hesitant to play Asiata because of the short week but I really don't want to rely on the situation in Houston.

i'll throw some stats your way that'll likely make your decision for you. it made mine:

the GB defense is currently giving up the most rushing yards per game right now at 176. they've also given up the 2nd most rushing TDs so far this year at 5. the only team who has given up more than that is the Falcons with 9.

also, Teddy Bridgewater (if he starts) is a little bit banged up, so i'm sure they're gonna look to keep him healthy. and Christian Ponder has only had 3 days to prepare the offense.

Didn't really expect this to go anywhere, but thought I'd try on a buy low opportunity...traded Kelce and Bradshaw for McCoy.

RBs: Forte, Murray, McCoy, Gore, Sankey WRs: Nelson, Brown, Cruz, Gordon TE: Bennett

Yeah like I said, I didn't really expect him to accept. I was kinda messing around checking out some buy low opportunities. He was in need of all sorts of help at 1-3 with injuries/poor picks. I might try to turn one of those RBs into a WR or something if I need to in the event of an injury.
