Re: **Official Alpine Valley 2015 Thread**

Anyone camping at good ol bark river? I've always stayed there despite the 35-40 minute commute to the venue. Let's just hope that I don't wake up in a pool of sweat like 2012, man it was hot!

I didn't know there were cabins in the area. I may cancel my hotel reservations and do that. Any suggestions on good cabins? (they're probably all booked anyway )

Good way to look at it. I think the 2013 sets suffered from the awesome 2012 sets.

This is what I figured as well. I'm excited to see Alpine live up to its name should this rumor be true.

I loved Deer Creek last year, I'm not so sure I could give it up. You have quite a difficult choice!

I had a great time at DC last year. To me though, it's no Alpine. Just my opinion, DC is like the cute younger brother of the drop dead gorgeous older one. If the boys are back at Alpine, that's where I will be too .

Disclaimer: not trying to start a venue war. This is solely my opinion.

If Alpines really back then the band wins and I'll do DC and alpine. If it's Chicago I wont go unless sets early in the tour seem to have variety and make it worthwhile

The Alpine/Deer Creek combo is lethal. Always so many great songs played between each weekend.

Yep. Plus DCs mellow lawn means I can do lawn both nights there and save the money for pavilion at alpine where I refuse to ever sit lawn again.

That's the downfall, I wanna book tickets when they go on sale, but I also wanna wait and see what early sets look like. But I like going to TX (which are the first shows of the tour, so I'm kinda f'd either way). I guess I'll just suck it up and buy tickets when they go on sale.

For me returning to Alpine is worth it even if the sets suck, it's the first place I ever saw the band so it'll always be special.

I've booked a hotel early (but it's refundable) just so I know for sure I have a room in case everything else fills up.

    What's the resort like/price range?

Resort will be about $500 for two nights after all fees. Like others have said it's a dump. But I like it for convenience and the staff I have gotten to know over the years and seeing the same faces each year. If you are coming for the first time. Stay elsewhere and enjoy the lots. Plus the resort is nice that you don't need a dd.

How far is it from Chicago to Alpine? I've never been to Chicago, so I'd like to kill 2 birds with 1 stone!
