we've had a rocky past, but i try not to live in it. and dont get confused, i know you're still in new york and all. but you're not the yankees.

EDIT: and as i type, jayson werth ties it up with a solo shot. 4-4 phils.
sure, johan has been booed at shea. But knowing philly fans, he would've been booed in philly too since he was booed for surrenduring three "no doubt about em" home runs in his home debut.

yes the Mets aren't the yankees, but they are the reincarnation of NY's past great teams, the brooklyn dodgers and NY giants.

Brady is not going to let the crappier younger brother of Fat Forehead beat him in anything. Period.

Thank God. They can have their 26 championships. I'll take my pure non-dh baseball and our large payroll that is still only half of theirs.

jroll pissed off all of philly a few days ago.

it was his choice to wait it out with the high ankle sprain. it took 3 weeks and 14 some games to realize he needed to go ont the DL.

just got back from the game. i don't think Johan pitched that great, in yet he only gave up two runs on 96 pitches in 7 innings. Delgado needs to step it up big time, I'm tired of the 0-4's and 1-5's each night. Ryan Church had another terrific game too, I think he's fucking awesome.

fair assessment - it wasn't he who traded Kazmir away right? I think it was Duquette, but I could be wrong.

    I missed this

    Quote:
Just after the Braves went ahead, a series of fights and food-and-beverage throwing altercations took place on two decks on the third-base side. Several fans were forcibly removed by security and one person was arrested for assault, New York Police Department spokesman Det. Kevin Czartoryski said.

"There were some good blows being thrown up there," Francoeur said.

it's already too late in the season for Delgado to be hitting below .200 - he needs to step it up BIG time, along with Heilman.

I was thinking that as well yesterday. It must be something about that place. It sounded like they have a nice fan base in AZ.
