One awful call that's often forgotten is Mike McCloskey of Penn State being called in bounds vs Nebraska in 1982. He was at least 25 yards out of bounds when he made the catch. That game ended up deciding the national championship and got Paterno 1 of his 2 titles. Part of the reason why it's forgotten is that nobody realized the importance of the game at the time since it was played in September. Plus it happened 35 years ago.
I'm not an Ohio State fan and I'm not saying I agree with the 2003 Fiesta Bowl pass interference call. But putting that as #1 on the list, ahead of OU Oregon, the 5th down game, UF Iowa and PSU Nebraska is pretty absurd. It was a borderline call that maybe you let go, especially on the last play of a NC game, but it's far from the worst call ever.
