I just realized we are 3 hours away from a football game. It's only pre-season, but I enjoy the novelty of seeing the sport back on the field.

Who's ready to see 4th stringers play their only game of the year?

    Bills can't risk two of their actually talented offensive guys getting hurt.

    Not sure why NBA and NHL threads + offseason threads were combined.
    It was bad enough the yearly NFL Draft got stuck as 1 thread.
    Basically makes searching and/or backreading impossible.

    So who are everyone's very early favorites?

    The NFC rep in the SB will be from the NFC West no idea about the AFC. I think the Broncos take a step backwards. Maybe the Pats have a shot to win it all again before. Brady starts to decline due to age (which he really hasn't done yet)

    Obviously being from WA, I'm all about the Seahawks. Really looking forward to seeing if our defense can keep up the same intensity as last year. Think our offense will actually be better and might open up more for Russell to do some more things in the passing game. Just happy to have football back, although it's tough to see last year go away. First time in my life to see a local team win it all, now I want to see it again.

    Depends on how Kaep progresses and if Harbaugh stays. Also the NFC West is really tough with Arizona seeming to put together a team that will continue to snap at the heels of the Niners and Seahawks.

    I hope so. I'm in the Wilson is overrated camp. He isn't awful by any stretch of the imagination but he isn't as good as some stories I've read are making him out to be

    If the Browns can do these 3 things, I think they make the playoffs:
    1. Get decent QB play from Hoyer and Manziel
    2. Gordon’s suspension is for a half season or less
    3. Win 1 of their first 3 games

    I think Chicago/Denver Super Bowl. I don't know if Seattle misses the playoffs, but Russell Wilson is going to come back to earth...a lot. I think they and the Niners both make it however.
