Yes, but a lot depends on the venue. If you're looking into SPAC, 2 tickets is you're best bet.

    Well that's good at least.

FWIW, last year I was confirmed for 3 lowers at SPAC N2, declined for 2 N1; both on my '08 account

Just anecdotal, probably just luck of the draw. Most likely the area we were selected for was in a group of 4 and someone got a single and we got the trio

Anyone have better experiences requesting 1 ticket rather than 2+? I've been declined for 2 reserved or pit in the past and would rather have a good seat and see the show solo than get confirmed for uppers or lawn.

The number of tix you order has no consequence on if you're confirmed or declined.

Thanks. I know it's a crapshoot, more curious if anyone has had better seat locations requesting 1 as opposed to multiple if confirmed.

Right, but it could have consequence as to location of your seats if you're confirmed, no?

location is (usually) seniority based, after the confirmation lottery.

the only way ordering more than one ticket could affect your location is if you're on the bubble from lowers to uppers or uppers to lawn.

if there's only two seats of lowers left and you ordered three or more... you'll get bumped to uppers and someone who only ordered two will get those last lowers way in the back. confirmed with wh.

but, you were already in the back of lowers to begin with so you should get the front of uppers. unless your seniority algorithm bumps you to the back of uppers... that's not known yet.

When do temp charges usually show up? End of request period? After request period closes? Also, do they still do temp charges for people doing a payment plan?

What's funny about that? Multiple shows can be expensive in one lump sum. Many people could pay for them comfortably via the plan but don't have $700 plus to drop at one time 5 months in advance.

I think he is implying that if you can't pay for your tickets at once, you can't afford them.

I like to think its a great option. Most CAN pay for them upfront, but if you can spread it out, why not choose that option?

there's nothing wrong with paying for dave tix on a payment plan if it's a necessity for your life. like shelter or transportation.

but if that's the case, you're in the dmbfamily zone. and we all know what that means.

Because it's more expensive? There's a processing fee associated with it, so you're paying more to spread it out.

I guess the question is though, are you against financing terms in general for any goods/service that are not shelter/transportation; or is it specific to things like a concert. Or is it that there is a $25 fee associated with it?

For me, if a business is offering 12-month interest free financing, I'll usually take advantage of it; regardless of if it is a "necessity" for my life or not

In this case, the $25/fee complicates the benefit of it a bit, but I can understand why people would use it even if they could pay up front. Why let someone else hold your money when you can hold onto it for a bit longer?

What's wrong with paying for it over time to help with cash flow? I'm certainly not a dmbfamily guy, but I do enjoy going to shows. I'm a teacher with 2 kids. I don't want to tie up nearly $700 for concert tickets at once when I can spread it out. That gives me more emergency cash flow for my kids i wouldn't have if I dropped that cash at once.

Sorry if this has already been asked, but are they not doing seniority 1 out of 2 nights if it's a 2 night run? If it is, do we know which night is seniority based?

For the 2 nighters, one night is random, the other is seniority. They do not tell us which night it is (although it should be night 2)
