So which hardcore rap albums did you get? Come on you know you want to tell us.

I had the Body Count album, the one that was recalled. I did not send it back via the radio station.

I am not the person to inform you what is good and what isnt (bc I really dont know). But what I do know is that I wouldnt take anything Rolling Stone says to heart. They dont know shit about anything else, so i would assume they dont know anything about turntables.

I actually didn't buy any. I have far more embarrassing LPs than anything hardcore rap-related.

I was thinking the exact same thing...I look at Rolling Stones movie and music picks to see what to avoid

Got an old hi-fi (I think that's what its called) from my wife's grandma. Its like one of those old 1950's style cabinet/hutch turntable stereo deals. Its pretty badass. I want to refinish it.

In anticipation of this, I have purchsed about 30 vinyl albums. Sealed copies of a few: Marvin Gaye Live from the Palladium, White Album, Beatles Blue album (sealed 1st pressing), Exile on Main Street (selaed first pressing). I know I should keep them sealed, but undecided. They were costly.

Bunch of others, too: Kind of Blue, Some Girls, Houses of the Holy, LA Woman, then a bunch of newer stuff; all the Built to Spill albums, Rilo Kiley albums, Umphrey's End of the Road, etc.

We'll see if I ever restore this thing. Anyone have nay idea if these speakers will be any good? Is this worth restoring?

I've got probably 100 that I've accumulated over the years. Haven't looked at them in quite some time though. Started working on a Beatles collection in high school, and have a huge collection of PJ. I used to hit up the Great House of Guitars in Rochester all the time for vinyl. That place has everything.

Last time I was in there it was so unorganized. But if you ask any of those cats for something, they know right where it is.

    Cool place.

That's EXACTLY how it always is. Piles everywhere. But as soon as you ask them, they know right where to go.

I picked up a few on Monday. Think I'll go back tonight, there is an in-store performance by a pretty kick ass band.

Manifest in Charlotte is the shit.

For those that live in the Philadelphia area, I came across this site with record stores in the area. http://www.wmmr.com/vinyl_guide.shtml

I'm still looking to complete my Led Zep collection, next I'd like to start with The Stones.

I'll probably get a few this weekend. I did place a bid on another 'The Lawrence Arms' LP, hopefully I win that as it's OOP

My first 'complete' set was Zep. It was a bitch finding all the different covers for 'In Through the Out Door'.

I forgot about that. How many different covers are there? I'm only familar with 2, the scene at the bar and the brown bag.

    Television - Marquee Moon
The Band - Music From The Big Pink
Something from Blind Melon if they put out records
    Ryan Adams - Cold Roses
    Wilco - Yankee Hotel Foxtrot

I'll probably find some cheap clues and jazz things to go along with those, just to try out something different
