Yup. I do believe they wanted to give themselves the time to make it right but with so many people getting time off around the holidays.... $$$$$$...it was an easy decision.

I love them releasing these around Christmas. At 34 years old and no kids, Christmas just doesn't pack in the same excitement it used to. Star Wars made the season a lot of fun. There was the anticipation, the comics, the books, the viewing, buying Star Wars toys for the nieces and nephews. Just added an extra excitement to the season for me.

So glad to see other people are devouring everything SW they can get their hands on too. I actually listened to some SW podcasts this afternoon

The more I look into Rogue One the more excited I am for it. It's such a cool storyline. Very curious how much Vader will be used and if we'll see any of Boba Fett.

A few of my buddies discussed skipping having a bachelor party for each of our weddings so we could treat ourselves to going once this opened as a group bachelor trip. Sounds awesome.

Watched ROTJ last night and I'm not sure what was different but I enjoyed it way more than I ever have. Maybe because I've read several EU books or something now and know all the side-character better, but regardless, it was way more enjoyable. The ewok scenes seemed shorter than I remember, the final duel between Vader & Luke seemed more impactful. The Emperor seemed way more menacing.

I'm just saying, I thoroughly enjoyed it more than I have before. Maybe not watching Empire immediately before made the difference. It's tough to follow Empire and that may've been the difference maker.

Palpatine was definitely menacing. I used to have nightmares about him as a kid.

Oh wow, a lot sooner than I thought. I'll wait until I have a couple of kids and they're of an appropriate age. It's going to be hard to try and convince my wife to go to Disney World on vacation just the two of us. I would do it, but she'd rather go to Europe or an island. By the time we have kids old enough to go they'll probably have way more going there anyway.

That's funny you say that because Palpatine never bothered me but the first time I saw Vader without his mask I got scared and hid in my room.

When I watched the other night I took a picture of him without his mask and sent it to my mom and asked if she was proud at how much I had grown up

This made me think of the first time I watched the original trilogy.

I had a horrible fever and a few hours after we finished ROTJ, my fever spiked and I hallucinated that my hands were swelling up. It was just like that Pink Floyd song.

I was way more scared by the hallucination than by Darth Vader. Good times.
