I actually had the willpower to resist smoking really good weed when it was offered. *slow clap* Not that I've given up on it permanently, but I've found that when I'm really anxious/depressed, I use it as a crutch. Makes me happy that I've realized that and put it to use.

Went grocery shopping this morning for the week. Treated myself with a really good everything bagel. Made a breakfast sandwich out of it when i got home. Still working half pound of coffee I bought myself a few weeks ago (was another treat type of purchase), and I made two cups of joe from that bag. Good morning. Watching hockey and then the football games. Simple Sundays are sometimes best.

Been battling a sinus/ear infection since Sunday, slept about 11 hours last night and woke up feeling about a thousand times better than yesterday. The relief of getting over a cold is vastly underrated.

Also, celebrating nine years today since my now-wife and I began dating (all the way back in high school ). Makes me feel a little old but also feeling very fortunate this morning to have such an awesome woman by my side for almost a decade now.

I'm in the same situation with two kids and a dog that sheds, but for an OCD person like me it's not a problem, shit is off the floor every morning before I leave. I live in an open concept ranch, with wood floors so I just make sure everything is off the floor, set it on a schedule, and voila. The floor has never been cleaner and when it needs to be wet swiffered is just so much easier. No more dog hair everywhere, no more dust bunnies, time saved that we used to spend sweeping.

right now, i have no intention of having a drink, but at some point i'd like to be able to drink like a normal person, and have a beer occasionally when i go out to dinner with friends.
