I think the update is good. Basically you don't lose as much loot when you are attacked. You can also get extra gold and elixir by attacking that goes straight to your castle. Town hall 7s get an extra air defense as well.

I lose WAY more loot each raid now. I used to lose 1,000 gold and now it's 200,000-400,000.

Since the update a couple of months ago, I get fought around 15-30 times before someone beats me enough to give me a shield. I still don't understand the guard thing since you can't get attacked while you are online anyways. It seems pointless to me. I was originally in the 2,000-2,200 area but since the update I stay way down on purpose. Getting fought 15-30 times to get a shield is so dumb. I fell all the way down to 500 to see what it was like and by the time I finally got a shield, I was back up to 1,379 due to a ton of people attacking me. That's insane.

I have less than a million of each at any given point. Stupid people who give me shields spend around 50k elixir to attack me to get like 75-100k. Not worth it but they still do.

I'd love to spend my loot but everything at my range cost 5 mil+ in gold. It's impossible to farm or save that. It's basically coming to the point I have to buy gems to afford upgrades.

Which IMO is all they want now. They're making a cash grab.

Yeah pretty hard to constantly have empty storages when an Xbow upgrade is 7 mill and a troop upgrade is 8 mill elixir or 80k dark elixir.

I have been saving for a 4.32 million AD for 3 days and will have it tomorrow. I am in Gold Level 1 I think but I rarely lose a shield and I am not farming very actively.

I was able to save for the level 3 xbow in much less time than it has take to build it.

Looting is all about what level you're at, I'm in gold 3 and only have to push next to get to a base I can easily loot 250-300k of each from. Best way to save for upgrades is to time it when your cc is full your storages have enough for the upgrade, you protect more loot having it in the clan castle. Also with a victory should be getting 1,000,000 of each so between war loot and cc you have almost 3 million that can't really be looted

Most of our players are no longer active, we still have a few and I know that summers can be tough with vacation and outdoor activities. We always seem to play more in the winter months.
