I watched Concussion last week and really enjoyed it. I was really engrossed in the story right from the start.

Honestly, of the 2015 movies about well known cover-ups, I was much more enthralled by Concussion than I was by Spotlight.

Dope: meh, very forgettable. Maybe because I can't relate (n/r)? I enjoyed the nostalgic 90's vibe and parts of it were funny but overall I was bored. I feel they didn't know what they wanted to do with it stylistically with the editing and it ended up being done poorly. plus way too much over acting. 6/10

Saw Keanu today. Enjoyed it, wanted it to be a bit funnier than it was but was mostly entertained throughout 3/5

Also watched Deadpool and thought it was a riot. Just an immensely enjoyable film 4/5

Hadn't seen it in a long long long time; in the pantheon of overrated movies, this is very near the top. There are elements of it I love; the cinematography, the theme. But overall it's a giant meh - the narration is horrid, the story is shaky.

As far as Keanu is concerned, I heard the first 25 minutes or so was hysterical, but the last hour was not good at all.

Sounds like Super Troopers. Beerfest is a far superior movie.

I thought it started absolutely fantastic, but somewhere in the second act, I thought it really lost its focus and now I couldn't even tell you what the movie was truly about. Felt like it bit off more than it could chew.

On the letter grade scale, I'd give it a C.

"Home Sweet Hell". It's a dark comedy with Katheryn Heigl. Pretty funny at times and a fun watch. C+

Gattaca - 3/10

What a boring snooze-fest of a movie that was filled with bad to mediocre acting. The twist/reveal at the end was SO super obvious. The investigation was rushed and the reveal of the killer was horrendous and obvious. The relationship between Ethan and Uma was just pointless and uninteresting.

I am trying to figure out what people actually liked about the movie.

But yeah very solid story to choose to make into a movie.

The movie is really close to the book which makes sense. The author of the novel wrote the film's screenplay.
