    Colbert complimented about how great his concerts were. Dave talked about how times have changed with lighters and phones, his kids, and they had a sip of wine.

    And wow, Colbert show is awful. He is a terrible interviewer and clearly doesn't give a shit what the answers are to his questions. Sure loves himself though.

    Colbert seemed off. Dave gave a great interview! Nice performance of cop. Love the song, but thinking it sounds best full band. Dave needs to scream that one out. Cville debut is still my favorite version. A few mistakes in it, but still powerful.

    this was cool and all and Samurai Cop is awesome, but what was the point of this? Like there was no mention of the Dave and Tim tour at all? No mention they are taking a break from touring? Like aren't guests supposed to on these types of shows to plug something (event, movie, album, etc.)? I'm not complaining I'm just genuinely curious like what was the point that Dave Matthews of all people was on The Late Show tonight? It just seemed really random, they talked about basically nothing. It sounded like small talk you would have with someone you haven't seen in a while in line somewhere.

    It doesn't necessarily air on the day that it tapes.

    Letterman used to tape Friday's episode on Monday.
