you don't happen to have the demo version from the new preorder, do you? i'm thinking about preordering it to get that EP- but i have a ton of money in giftcards to borders from my bday that should hold me over on cds for a while- so i might just use those instead- i just really wanna hear the 'im yours' demo more than the actual cd

wow, so much has changed in 3 years with this man jason mraz...

i just heard his new cd mr. a-z and at first listen its alright...his words are poetic and seem to flow like a riverbend...i need to see this guy and his band live one day...anyone else listen to his new cd and if so what do youll think? my fav. tune right now would have to be Plane

I'm a big fan of mraz. His live stuff is incredible. I'm hoping he tours this fall/winter. I'll be catching a few of his tours without a doubt!

They really revamped Plane, I'm not sure what I think about it yet. Wordplay is kinda disappointing though, I think its kinda corny when an artist refrences themself

yeah i dont know about the new album... It's a bit slower paced then i would of liked. His live stuff is 100 fold better.

I remeber saying the exact same thing with stand up. FIrst listen to the cd sounded boring to me, then when i heard some songs live, it became amazing. I'm hoping Mr. A-z will do the same.

I completely agree

Stand Up took a few listens to get used to... now I like it a lot. Plus I love hearing the changes that Mraz has gone through musically.

Wordplay is good for a first single - I think it was supposed to be a joke about how the record execs wanted a "certain" sound... I think Mraz talked about it on one of his journal entries on his website.

I'm used to hearing a lot of these songs as live versions, so the changes on the album definitely are going to take some getting used to. I'm not sure about the slow version of Plane. no doubt I'll be listening to this non-stop for awhile either way though.
and to whomever asked, when mraz talked about touring with alanis, he also said he'd be touring the fall to promote the album, so lets just start hoping dates come out soon

and if you havent seen him live, do it. it will be worth it, trust me.

I'm a big mraz fan, and while this album isn't exactly what I expected, it's definitely not bad. I'm a little surprised that this is the work of lillywhite, though.

But yeah, definitely waaaaaaaaaaay better live, I've never seen him with his band, but I saw just him and Toca (percussionist) and I was blown away.

it took me a couple looks myself

yeah ive been listening to this cd a couple times now and i only like a few select tunes...hopefully ill be able to see them performed live and grow some appreciation for them
