I thought the Break Free's were "ok" in 2011. Nowhere near "awesome" like they were in 2006.

don't hate a song SOLEY because of how often it is played...because, one day, they might stop playing it, and you'll think, "Damn, I'd like to hear that song again, wish I would have appreciated it when I heard it back in the day instead of leaving early to beat traffic"

that was fresh from the brewery too...picked up from the brewery from a fresh batch the day before (which, if you're getting it from there, it is always fresh, but that's not the point here)

making me thirsty just talking about it

I learned this lesson with Too Much. You get too busy song chasing and start blaming good songs because they get some hefty play

Large part of why you won't see me about BW songs (sans Time Bomb). The only thing i'll complain about is if there's more than 4 in a set post 2009.

I don't complain about any songs. I enjoy every show and every song they play.

May sound dumb, and there are songs I would like to hear more than others, but just being there and being happy and hearing the music I love is

You sound like my wife....she could not possibly care less about what is played...I'm kind of jealous of it really, even though I am much better about it than I used to be....she just wants to go and dance....she usually doesn't even drink (although BTP may contest that based on the condition he saw her in at Wrig N2 in '10 )

I'll just assume when she told me she had to take a vomit break N2 that it was due to being allergic to the Chicago Cubs.

    Ball-washer

I tend to enjoy them mixing it up and being unpredictable. For a while i feel like they felt the need to play 10 Big Whiskey songs, So Damn Lucky, Gravedigger, Stay or Leave, YMDT, Breadz, Watchtower at EVERY stop. Not hating or bashing those songs, but that's 16 songs you just can about guarantee are coming. Like it was some contractual obligation. That's too many.

and BombTower and BombStep gets old and lazy realllly fast

I can pick apart a setlist with the best. If I put effort into it. But I see no reason to. See me and your wife, we got the right idea. Just enjoy the fact that you are there, and can dance, and be happy.

I drink but I don't get drunk at shows. IT IS POINTLESS. I make fun of the drunk people getting carried out of the venue. Might as well take the money you spent on ticket, rip it into confetti, and throw it int he air. LMAO

It was more like she took a couple "show breaks" from her vomiting

She made it back strong for jimi thing and we were dancing away....she didn't see much up to that point though

never thought of an allergic reaction to the cubs...good point...surely it had nothing to do with drinking liquor since noon that day

As much bitching as there has been, i really think after the first 5 shows, this tour really got its act together and has been rather unpredictable and featured a good variety. Especially after taking a full year off.

My biggest beef with the tour is Out of My Hands being played and being played so frequently. The shelf is the best place it'll ever fit into a setlist.

it did NOT look good after 5 shows....couple gems in there, but it's DMB, they'd have to put forth a pretty big effort to NOT have a gem in there every now and then

but damn...they blew up...there have been some money ass shows in there

and thus far, IMO, teh creek is king of the jungle so far

but, if i were betting, i'd say Alpine will take that title this weekend

Yeah, i definitely think at the VERY least, Alpine will match it (like a which features more stuff that is your cup of tea type choice).

Funny enough, at Counting Crows I was discussing with some people about how of course the year I go to SPAC, Deer Creek is King of the 2012 tour so far, and my wife chimes in "You know Alpine is gonna destroy it this weekend, so why are you even bragging?"

for me, the best Zombie Dust is at about 1 month old. I've had about 100 of them and have had them at various stages of life. 1 month is about where it stops being green, more powerful hop punch, more balanced....just incredible

if anyone likes coffee beers, Founders Frangelic Mountain Brown (750ml) comes out thursday and friday in indianapolis markets. possibly the best coffee beer i've ever had, definitely the best brown ale i've ever had. it is brewed with hazelnut coffee, and is incredibly delicious. I don't drink coffee, can't stand it, but this coffee beer is possibly better than soapy tits....

I don't drink coffee, can't stand it, but this coffee beer is possibly better than soapy tits....
    Sounds really good.

Founders managed to create a very very rich beer with a surprisingly thin body....not sure how they did that, but I think it has to do with the coffee. founders sure does know how to make coffee beers. i'm sold.
