Yeah, I was talking more about the coverage unit as the Giants always seemed to give up big plays on returns. I'm more concerned about them stopping the other team's returner than actually returning one.

Feel like this is as close to a must-win game as there can be for a week 2 game. GMen need to bounce back and the offense needs to get back on track as they did not look impressive on Sunday night.

Falcons look beatable, they just need to double cover Julio.

Don't see any chance the Giants beat Atlanta this week. Keeping my expectation bar low seeing as we are just a total mess.

If JPP comes back before the bye week he will have a club on his hand.

At this point, I agree with the Giants...why pay him close to 900,000K a game if his hand is currently that rough? Definitely not worth all that. His hand looks gnarly.

Now if the Giants are somehow still in contention down the stretch and are still hurting in the pass rush, I can see them bringing him back at that number, but at this point...woof. He really fucked his hand up.

Cautiously optimistic (somehow) that the Giants can turn this around. Eli isn't going to keep making these mistakes as they really are uncharacterisitc of him; the offense looked a whole lot better yesterday against (arguably) a better Atlantic D than the Dallas D. The defense has actually looked better than I expected so far this year but they did have to blitz like crazy to get a rush. And the return game looked as advertised.

They just need to learn how to fucking finish games. They're beating themselves and I'm optimtic that they can figure this out. They need to take advantage of the Cowboys (presumably) being down.

    Was at the game yesterday.

If it wasn't for 4th quarter ineptitude, we could easily be 2-0. So frustrating.

I mean, it's too little too late. James Jones was the right choice from the get go. Doesn't mean if they had made the right choice they'd be 2-0, but it's just another sign of Jerry's ineptitude.

I really think they thought James Jones is just a "Rodgers guy." That being said, he can catch a football, so he's automatically better than Parker.

That's totally possible, from what I've read he lost a roster spot because he couldn't contribute on special teams.

Either way, it was a bonehead move.

Two horrific losses to start the season, then the Giants win a must win game vs. Washington in week 3.

We're going to win the Super Bowl. See 2007.

But seriously, nice win. Could be 3-0. Tough game against Buffalo next week, we need to get healthy.

I think he'd run into the same issue as just about every NFL stadium.

You won't see me at an NFL game anytime soon. The stadiums are filled with absolute animals with seemingly nothing to lose. No thanks.

Very winnable game next week against a bad Niners team. Hopefully Eli doesn't throw 5 picks again like he did last year.

Season is definitely looking up. They looked like a competent football team today.
