Handfuls of peanuts getting thrown at me, empty bottles - plus some 40 year old guy with his 11 year old son came up to me and my friend and said "how about you and your friend get the fuck out of here you pieces of shit!" - I said "Nice mouth man, right in front of your son, you set a great example for how little class this city has". I really think if he wasn't with his kid this fuckin 40 year old was going to pick a fight with my friend and who were 18 at the time.
But you better believe that when the Yanks too the lead for good late in the game my friend and I were letting everyone around us hear about it.

Now, not that I'm justifying that kind of behavior from the Sox fans (I honestly think a lot of them are just atrocious), but you're not exactly innocent yourself going in full Yankee gear. You knew exactly what was going to happen, so you can't really act shocked that it did. I have two friends from back home - one's a huge Sox fan, one's a huge Yankee fan - who both came up for a game @ Fenway a few weeks ago. I expected my Yankee loving fan to come in full Yankee regalia, but he had nothing Bronx related on at all when he arrived. I asked why, and he said "That's just kind of a dick move, and there's no need to cause any trouble for no reason."
What exactly were you wearing? A hat would be acceptable, if you were Yankees head to toe that would be pretty lame anyway, no matter where you were. I try to limit articles of sports related clothing to one a day.
Oh and sorry about the obnoxious fans...don't think the behavior you witnessed reflects on the entire community, we're not all fight-pickin dickheads who swear in front of children...that's just the Massholes.
