Re: Official Phish Discussion

Put in a request for Halloween night for two tickets. First time I've put in a request. How good are my chances of getting them? I did select best available. Family has a condo there so it would actually be my third trip to Vegas since March.

there's going to be a lot of people putting in requests, so your chances are just as good as anyone else's. i put in something like 20 requests (thru friends and family) for 12/31/11 and struck out on all of them, so its a crapshoot

These might be some of the toughest tickets of 3.0 imo. Well, maybe just the toughest of the Fall run. They haven't played Vegas since 2004. I just think this will be the only West coast dates that people from the East coast will go to besides Dick's.

Put in your request and you should be ok.

Any speculation as to what they play on Halloween?

After watching the interview on the Letterman website, Page and Trey make it sound like they're kind of over the "we have to cover an album" on Halloween gag. (hence Wingsuit)

I've put in for lottery the last 4 NYE runs, 2 Halloween runs, and Providence 2010, and did not get ONE ticket. That's 23 shows, not ONE Ticket

If Phish doesn't at least cover something on Halloween there will be tons of upset phans.

I get that Phish can do whatever they want and that's what I love most about them, but their tradition and what they do on Halloween is to cover an album. We're all expecting them to cover an album. I know I'll be bummed if they don't. It can be one of their own albums, but at least cover something. That's what makes them unique.

Really don't picture a musical costume this year. That way, if they do it I'll be so surprised and giddy it'll be even better. I really like the thought of them starting a new Halloween tradition. Someone suggested one set entirely of improv which could be awesome, but could also totally flop. Also like the idea of them covering their own albums.

Damn, I forgot about Junta. That would be fantastic. That would also mean that would have to do Union Federal finally

The bolded is like my dream. Closest I've seen was the Storage Jam at SBIX.

I've had pretty good luck with requests lately, went 3/3 last year for AC and then 4/4 this summer, so there are success stories out there. I always request singles and I always request best available; just looking to get in the building.

Put in my request for SF and Vegas today, hoping to do take the whole week of Halloween off and have a nice (and expensive) fall vacation. The AC run last year was a blast and I am determined to do Halloween again.

Rift would be cool or SOTG.

I'd rather have them cover another album though. We've already heard all the songs from their albums every show. I think they would sound great covering Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.

What would be cool would be an entire set of new covers...

Agreed on the YEM vocal jam. This is the most distinct YEM I've ever heard and can safely say it is now my favorite.

Came across this video. Ridiculous Reba cover.

This guy pulled it off pretty flawlessly. Also goes to show you how awesome of a composition Reba really is.

After watching the interview on the Letterman website, Page and Trey make it sound like they're kind of over the "we have to cover an album" on Halloween gag. (hence Wingsuit)
Gamehendge with Cirque du Soleil. Kang'd.

I've had pretty good luck as well. Got Halloween 2010, NYE 2011, 16th row for Holmdel last summer, three night AC pass last fall, MPP2 pit this year, and a smattering of NYE run tickets over the years. Not always great seats, but for some of those tougher shows I just want to be in the door.

YEM -> Rocky Mountain Way is very very good. Abnormal YEM jam
Listened to the first few songs yesterday and that YEM > RMW Jam. Holy fuck that may be my new favorite YEM!

Listening to the show in full now while at work. In the middle of Ghost right now. I heard this was a key version and it is delivering!

Came across this video. Ridiculous Reba cover.

This guy pulled it off pretty flawlessly. Also goes to show you how awesome of a composition Reba really is.
