Yeah, in that Holllywood Reporter roundtable, it sounds like they are already in the process of writing the episodes so it looks like its going to happen. I'm interested in Mike's backstory. If they don't have Jesse as a regular character in BCS, I can see him making appearances. Or the show possibly focusing on Jesse's family. I was really intrigued by the story of Jesse's family and they kinda abandoned those characters in S2 or 3 of BB.

Either way, if they have the same writing team for this show as they did on BB, I trust them to write good material.

If this is a prequel to BB, I don't think we'll see much interaction between Jesse and Saul. In Season 2 when Saul and Jesse met, it seemed like it was for the first time, so I don't know how they could have them interacting in the prequel unless they go non-canon.

To me, the only way to include Jesse in the prequel part is to show him unrelated to Saul, building himself in the drug game to become Cap'n Cook.

Yeah, but that would be kinda pointless, wouldn't it?

I thought the point of this show was to be a Saul prequel. If they focused a lot on Jesse building himself up to becoming Captain Cook it would seem more like a Jesse centric spin-off instead of a Saul centric one.

I dunno, I'm curious as hell how all this is going to work out. But yeah, that's really the only way they could include Jesse, to show him completely unrelated to Saul in the background of the Saul centric story.

Generally not a fan of prequels..something about knowing where a character ends up bothers me. I almost wish they would alternate episodes, one prequel, one Saul's new identity.
