If you look at the satellite link, the plaine des Jeux is the region that I presumed it would be at. I presumed that was what you were talking about when you mentioned Parterre, but on the Parc's website I see the detailed map shows the Parterre is the dusty looking area to the south of the metro.
Either way all I was saying is that it's not on Notre Dame, so you don't need to cross the bridge as you would if you were familiar with the F1 race.
Both areas you've mentioned are literally a 2 minute walk from the station, so no-one is going to have trouble figuring out which one it is!

I would park somewhere close to the Metro line and take the Metro to Jean-Drapeau. It's likely a lot easier to get in and out that way. I would look for parking close to Station Berri-UQAM and then Parc Jean-Drapeau is one stop on the yellow line (Longeuil)
