Gonna head to the gym in about an hour. I hope the guy who wears sunglasses while he works out is there.

There are two types of people who wear sunglasses indoors. Blind people and assholes.

I have some that I don't use. I think I've used it maybe 5 times sporadically. It tastes like crap. It's borderline undrinkable imo.

Haven't used it enough to give a solid opinion on it, but it's apparently the holy grail of unstimmed supps (and PWOs in general it seems).

Yes, it kills me. I have no leg endurance at all. My entire body turns to jello when I attempt squats and leg press etc. I haven't even given deadlifts a go since I started working out again the past couple weeks. It REALLY drains me to work out my legs. Makes me want to instantly stop and go home.

Compared to arms/chest/cardio that all pump me up.

What is everyone's opinion on Creatine here? I am getting ready to buy a new batch of powders etc, and wondering if I could get some input. I'd been going off of what I'd purchased last year in bulk, which was GNCs Amplified Wheybolic 60 (at the time, this was highly recommended stuff), and with it I got a free small sample container of Creadrive (looked a lot like this)

Back when I did my creatine research (because I already knew that for the most part it just fills your muscles up with water, or so the stereotype went), I learned that it can be beneficial to take a small amount 30 minutes before a workout, as a workout aid. So not as a "take after like a protein shake and get PUMPED", but beforehand, and a small amount, like half a scoop.

Do I have the right idea? What is everyone's opinion on creatine? And if it's worth getting another batch, what is the best one to go with?

I used to take the Higher Power creatine, which is just like the one you posted, a mono with no additives. I would mix it with a pre-w/o supp. It's a good way to put weight on and up your lifts, I just don't like the puffy look I get and it would really dry out the skin on my lats.

To be completely honest, if I'm going to send a sample I might as well send the whole thing.

I bought it back in March, and 5 months down the line I figure if I haven't finished it yet it's not going to happen. I just checked it and moisture hasn't made it clump so if you want it's yours. It's expensive anyways and if you don't like it you'll regret having spent 50 bucks on it.

I've been buying the Optimum Nutrition Hydrobuilder, which has creatine in it and taking it after my workouts on lifting days. I'd definitely recommend it if you don't mind spending a bit more.

Creatine is beneficial any time throughout the day. Five grams/day and you're good. Search "creapure" and go from there.

I'm a proponent of Creatine. When I'm in my bulking phase (fall/winter) I mix it with dextrose and protein for a post workout shake. In the time when I'm maintaining/cutting (spring/summer), I mix it with my Xtend and drink it while I'm working out.

    Don't forget to cycle!

    Here's a deal for you...

This product MSRP is $29.99 on Amazon, but the price has been cut to as low as $12.69 if you use the subscribe & save option.

Optimum Nutrition Essential Amino Energy (which is a rival to Xtend)

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...=ATVPDKIKX0DER

Those looking for a well reviewed intra-workout drink other than Xtend... this may be for you.

Don't worry about price. It'd be in the trash anyways if I didn't use it so I wouldn't feel right about charging anything for it. I make a decent wage so it's no problem. Besides, it's used anyways lol

That's about 5-6 months for me. In the summer I work out less so I tend to go through a tub in about 1 and a half months. During the fall/winter I go through about one a month... if not sooner. It's still cheap though. $20 to hydrate for one month's worth of working out is considerably cheaper than using gatorade/powerade plus the added benefit of BCAA's makes it even better.

    Good deal.

Only negative about it is they only make a 30 serving tub. I wish they made a bit bigger of one, seeing as I go through it pretty easily. I usually use like 4 scoops or so before working out. That usually does the trick (the scoop is tiny).

Not sure if it's still on or not, but BB.com had a buy two, get one free deal on those as well from a price of $19.99 per tub.

Sure, if you want. I guess paypalling would work, but I honestly have no clue on how to do a transaction on there. 100% serious.

BCAA ratios are the same I think, but I hear the flavoring is different and it has added electrolytes and more vitamin B6...

you can still get 3 30 serving tubs here for ~same price and get 3 different flavors if you want:

Can someone explain what Xtend is? I mix BCAAs with my post workout protein shakes. Usually a teaspoon worth, its a tub of white powder. Tastes terrible unless highly mixed into something.

Is Xtend a drink that just has BCAAs?

yes xtend is bcaa's with flavoring so that it doesn't taste terrible like the supposed "tasteless" white powder(yes it tastes horrible I agree)... you can just mix xtend with water and it taste like kool aid per se or gatorade/vitamin water...

I normally have both on hand... get some flavor from xtend and use the white bcaa to get the amount I want without using more xtend...

should get your essential fatty acids... you can do this by supplementing your normal diet with flaxseed oil or an EFA supplement of some type...

can't really hurt taking a b complex/calcium supplement/ multi vitamin if your diet is deficient in them... monitor what you eat and determining if you need to supplement... no matter how many vegetables or fruit I eat, I normally take a multi vitamin and some EFA pills, but that's just me
