Walk out to the parking lot, chat a little bit outside her car, and when I was about ready to head back to my car, she goes limp, falls against her car, then down to the ground. It caught me off guard, I thought maybe she just lost her balance or something trying to get in, but when she went to the ground without trying to break her fall, I broke in to a cold sweat.

I bent down to see if she's ok, and she's unresponsive. Her eyes are open, but she's not reacting to my queries at all or trying to get up. A person nearby comes over and asks if they should call for help. I say yes, because I can't tell if she's had a seizure, or something worse. As the person is waiting for someone to answer the emergency call, my date comes to and stands up. She has no idea what happened, and pleads with the person not to have the paramedics come. Says she's fine.

She's embarrassed now, and eager to leave. I said I wouldn't let her go until she could further explain what just happened. She said she didn't know, and really wanted to leave. After talking to her for a few minutes, she again said she was fine, and just wanted to get home. She assured me nothing else would happen. I couldn't keep her there, so I let her go on her way, with the instructions she let me know she made it home (she did).

The whole thing was fucked up.

We talked a little bit afterwards, but a second meeting never materialized.

    Good stuff! Congrats

I'm doing well too. I've been dating a guy from work since mid-April and it's going great.

We had known eachother for 4.5 years prior to dating which is kind of funny. We keep saying we wish we had realized it sooner. Although we don't have to work as closely as we used to it so it may not have worked out as well then.

First time in a long time I feel like I am 100% on the same page with someone. In the past I have always liked the other person more than they liked me or vice versa. He already brought up the eventual "fight" we will have when we decide to move in together. Totally in a joking manner though. We both own our own houses. His place is about 3 min drive to work whereas mine is 35-40. However my house is cleaner/nicer and his is more of a bachelor pad while living with his brother. Not too worried about it at this point, that is a long ways away.

Very very happy. Hope everyone else is doing great too!

A year ago today I drove to Houston with the intention of telling someone how I felt after 4 years of friendship.

Today, I found out she has been dating a guy for a few weeks and it's getting serious.

I quit her today. We talked things over and I told her I can't keep putting myself through this hamster wheel of heartbreak. I have no ill feelings, but I am heartbroken.

Today is the first day of a new chapter. I hate quitting, but I know this is what's best.

Glad you finally realized it's not meant to be with her, Spiel. Now you can start the journey to finding someone who actually cares about you as much as you do them. Good luck, man!

    Thanks, Jordan.

Today hasn't been fun, but my hope is that it goes up from here. Learning how to move on and not compare new girls to her is going to be the hardest part.

Serious enough that after a year of fb dormancy she updayed a bunch of things on fb and changed her status from single to in a relationship marked july 11. All of this happening this morning.

Ignoring her and moving on is going to be a long process I think. Unfortunately.

Hey man....I feel for you. The pain and heartache sucks.....Trust me, I know that feeling. As others have said though, at least you'll get to move on and in time the wounds will heal. I'm still in the process of having wounds heal myself.

Recently broke up w/ my gf of 3 years (lived together 2) Sucks bc I live in NYC and don't have a lot of friends to fall back on so I find myself trying to stay busy but alone (which sucks).

Living in NYC should make being single more enjoyable. Lots of things to do and people to see.

31, I work for a television station. Building out promotional campaigns and various scheduling duties. Been doing it a little under 8 years.

I have a love/hate with NYC. I lived in midtown for the first 5 years and then moved into the West Village about 3 years ago with my now ex gf. I agree there is lots to do, but it can be a very lonely place at the same time. Much more fun if you have people to enjoy/experience things with.

Distracting myself with Tinder and POF apps. Realized it's almost more of a game than it is anything. Fun to randomly chat it up with someone and shake off cobwebbs.

havent posted in here in a while. girl from work from back in the winter started flirting again at work after a few months. i dont bother trying to make anything happen at this point. she has my number if she really wanted to talk.

theres a few newer girls at work who are pretty good looking, but holy damn they're young. some cant even get in a bar yet. i dont really drink but im not sure how well that big of an age gap would work. and of course the girl who is probably the best fit for me is 1600 miles away back home, but there was never any sign that something might happen even when i still lived there.

dating is miserable, and not even getting to date is miserable as well. *le sigh*

Be careful with girls at work....I've had to learn the hard way. Went out with a girl from my company a while back, she turned out to be a psycho, and I now see her maybe 1-2 times a week at work. It sucks when I do as it's awkward as fuck.....
