Back to FFP, Real Madrid splashing out some serious cash so far. Just signed Kroos, and now Colombian WC Golden Boy James Rodriguez should have a deal done by weeks end. Something in the neighborhood of €70m. Not sure how that plays in to the FFP rules, but Real splashes out the cash every summer.

It is crazy when you look at it. His three seasons at Porto were very solid, helping that team win the title every year. Last season at Monaco he didn't do much until after Falcao got hurt. Then he was part of a group that helped push that team to second behind PSF and qualify for UCL this coming season.

If he can continue to grow as a player, show he can score in La Liga, he may the next to go over the €100 mil transfer. Problem with that is not many teams can drop that kind of coin, and in reality I would think only an EPL team would go for it.

Not a rumour Chad Bojan has definitely put pen to paper on a 4 year deal. I got the Drogda tit bit from BBC sport news which do not usually like to play guessing games being the BBC and alll that. Watch this space.

Well that was a beat down last night by United on the Galaxy. Was expecting a win, but not like that. I think Van Gaal has put everyone on notice that no one is safe, no one is guaranteed anything. You prove yourself or you either sit or get out. With Moyes, the players felt that the status quo would continue, but without Sir Alex's bite and bark. I may be overly optimistic about this season, but I think the team will battle on all fronts this season, EPL, FA and League Cup. Nothing to save for Europe this season, all hands on deck, win some trophies, get back to the UCL for 15-16. How much longer to Aug 16th?

Depends. I just watched Chelsea play a club from Slovenia. There were a number of pretty bad tackles and yellow cards. Not what you want to see in a pre-season friendly.

Since Lukaku refuses to work hard to earn his starting spot, Chelsea have decided to sell him to a club that will gift him a starting spot. Exactly what he wants. That'll be a tidy 18-20 million pound profit. Good luck to him at Everton.
