For all anyone here knows maybe they had planned on releasing something much newer next but found this and for whatever reason decided to release it. If you'll note, we don't have a full recording of this Watchtower (they seem to be spending some time and effort searching for things that are not out on tape, and they should be commended for that), and there is apparently some pretty interesting Davespeak on the tapes that hopefully gets left in the release. But no one's forcing anyone to buy it. If you're not excited by this release, hold onto your money until you see one that does. Pretty simple.

I think you are spot on here. I think they realize that, even among the hardcores, there are very few people who are actually buying each and every Live Trax just to complete their collection. I'm a huge fan who has been following the band for 15 years, seeing shows for 10 (34 shows), and owns a TON of stuff...but I still only have a handful of the LT's (1, 3, 6, 8, 13, 15, 17) I'll pick the shows that really stick out to me as ones I want and won't buy some others, and I think most people are like this.
If you don't care for a release, don't get it and there will be another one in a few months that maybe you will like more. I personally would like to see '99 get some more love, as well as Winter '98, Winter 2000, and all of '02 and '03.
