They added 8 songs this year, so having a higher number isn't that impressive. Making Halloween a non-rarity is huge, though. We got the best encore pairing ever thanks to this tour.

Halloween with more plays than Sister, Crash, Some Devil and Stay... combined.

Yes it is- 2009 they added 12 and we still only got 77 songs. I was happy with how much they mixed it up. Also two night stands without repeats was great.

They definitely did a great job not repeating at two-nighters. I was impressed with that.

I gave them a 4. Honestly if they would have come back from their ridiculous month and a half break playing as well as they did before hand then this would have been a 5 easily. They were on fire in june and july. they came back barely smoldering.

Gave it a 3. Pretty average DMB tour. Definitely some highlights, but not the best tour by any means.

Also judging by my two shows, I got a 2/5 star show and a 4/5 star show. So rating a 3 seems right.

Uh... I would not call any of the performances at the Gorge barely smoldering. They were playing as well as I've ever seen them, if not better. I was certain I was tired of Jimi Thing and Two Step until Night 2. As a fan of 12 years, I just feel very appreciative of the fact that I can still have my mind completely blown by a song I've personally seen them play 14 times and listened to countless live versions of.

I voted a 4...but there's a few songs that were sorely missing obviously. Id like to see how the newer songs will fit in on setlists.

I saw it at cville 2010 which was probably the most amazing thing ever. I also saw it at I think it was philly in 2010 too. So I've seen it...but twice is just not enough.

I agree with everything you said though.

i'm putting this one in the middle of the pack for me, about average. the gorge was great, but there were also stinkers like hershey. that was probably one of the worst shows i've ever seen. dave looked flat-out bored during DDTW.

This tour was not very impressive IMO...They played 99 songs but 37 of those songs were played 4 times or less. Seven, Eh Hee, Shake me, Jimi Thing, You and Me leading the way, all with over 20 plays. Way too much Mercy-->OOMH...WAY TOO MUCH of that. 17 Out of my Hands? Play lover lay down if you want something quiet. They did bring Minarets, YNK, and Halloween out of rarity status, and only played Stay once, So I'l give them that...2.5 on this tour for me.

Gave it a 3. Song selection got really stale towards the end of the tour. Some great great shows and some real shit bombs.

i don't even think it was though. just because A is better than B (which is awful) doesn't make A good. while the music improved on it, it actually made it even more obvious how horrible the lyrics are.

the fun level of the outro made up for the shitty lyrics in my opinion.

i'll never understand that viewpoint, or understand why the band would bring something like that back when you have a great song like recently that's not played all year and doesn't have any of the "well, not ALL of the song is bad" moments.

I love the hell out of EWU. To each their own. Only song I never want to see again is OOMH.

Re: 2012 Summer Tour (by the numbers)

It was great to see YNK come back along with Halloween getting lots of plays.. There's so many others that needed more plays as mentioned above. I wonder if the fall tour will bring any liberations.

Re: 2012 Summer Tour (by the numbers)

A "3" for my one night offs-----woodlands, blossom, shoreline, Tampa (cut 3 songs from Tampa)

A solid "4" for multiples. Alpine, Gorge, west Palm

What I've learned in 2012. If its not a 2 night stand, I can probably skip the show

To be fair to the band, I've personally seen too many shows since May 2009. It's not their fault they play shake me LAM every show.......

I just need a break to be less pickey
