Cheadle just sticks out like a sore thumb in all these movies I think. He just never settled in to the role, in my opinion, and he just always seems out of place. I don't believe his and Tony's relationship. It doesn't come across as natural to me.
Cheadle seems very awkward and random.

Disagree completely about Ruffalo though. I think he is great in that role. His calm, gentle demeanor and genial personality is a perfect Dr. Banner.

1 don't care about canonical continuity shit

1 I'm not against deviating from the comics if it improves the story, but that hasn't been the case with the X-Men movies. While you may not care about the canonical shit the X-Men movies have gone out of there way to try and connect everything and it winds up hurting the movies.

    2 false

3 thats fine but when they've deviated significantly you wind up with X-Men: The Last Stand and X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Compare the Deadpool from Origins that doesn't follow the comics to the Deadpool movie which was a comic come to life.

I'm not saying X-Men franchise is terrible. They were some of my favorite superheros growing up thanks to the 90's Fox Cartoon. It's just frustrating they've consistently been close to greatness and keep missing the mark. First Class and DOFP are the best two X-Men films, and their greatest downfall was trying to connect the continuity to the earlier trilogy.

I really loved the last two X-Men. Last Stand and The Wolverine movies are garbage.

I think Ruffalo is easily the bast Banner. Like, it's not even close.

I don't read or care about the comics though, so I'm not speaking to their merit as adaptations of those works.

Wolverine was solid. Origins was really really bad with the worst versions of Deadpool and Gambit you'll ever see. Laser eyes and sword hands are cool, but don't call it Deadpool. Reynolds only did the movie to help get Deadpool made, but Origins was so bad Fox didn't want to go forward until the test footage leaked.

My personal opinion but the best two X-Men films don't rise to the level of Winter Soldier, Guardians, ect. I'm hoping Deadpool's success will allow the other films in the Fox universe to take more risk.

yea that whole "flipping pages" concept for Marvel in the opener of movies, that's not specific to Marvel Studios (as in the one led be Kevin Feige, home of the MCU), but rather just Marvel as a whole, the comics property. So any adaptation, TV or film that's done from an original Marvel comic, can use that little animation no matter which film studio.

X-Men, Deadpool, and Fantastic Four are Marvel characters but their movie rights belong to Fox. Spider-Man's movie rights are with Sony but Marvel Studios cut a deal with Sony to make him a part of the MCU.

Hulk has messed up movie rights with Universal where solo Hulk films aren't possible, but he can be used as a character in all the films.

There's even special circumstances like Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch where both Fox and Marvel Studios can use them in movies.
