Not gonna go. I don't think it'll be worth the, like, nine-hour commitment it takes to see 6-7 songs

Plus, if I were in it for Sanders, he was just 10 minutes from my house a few weeks ago

I understand for sure since you've seen 66 shows. It'd be worth it to be since I've never seen Dave solo and I've seen less than 20 DMB shows. But only if I was free and didn't have to miss something for it (work, school).

I'm a Bernie fan, so if it was within, say, 8 hours of me, I'd drive to see it.

Awesome idea - talk about Dave performing and not politics... Dave supporting left-wing candidates shouldn't exactly be news 20+ years into this

I've actually never seen a Dave solo show either. I went to a few that were billed as one and then that Tim dude showed up.

But how are you gonna get upset about that? "Damn you, Tim! How dare you show up unexpectedly! I've never seen Dave play by himself!"

Anyone hear when Dave will be on stage? My wife is flying down to SF for work and gets in around 5:30 and she wants to go try and see the show if she can make it. I'm assuming Dave is the last act here...

That's not necessarily when Dave starts. I think that's when all the performances (Yarn, Fishbone, Negrito then Dave) begin.

I might change my mind. I'm leaving work soon. I bet I could get there in time.

Since the Bobby Kennedy assassination those rallies have been crazy serious for security

    it's strictly a stealth situation.

that's why it's so impressive. this might be the hardest tape to get since the SLC olympics show.

especially in California that's super impressive. Props to the taper

I went and it was pretty rad.

    Set List:
(Opener was a song he said was new, I didn't recognize, sorry I'm rusty)
    Ants Marching
    Don't Drink The Water
    Mercy

I think the crowd was more Bernie fans than Dave fans, as it was pretty tame. It was just Dave playing solo with an acoustic guitar. As more of a Dave fan than a Bernie fan, I thought it was awesome, but I live less than a mile away, not 800 miles like some of you.

There was a guy close to the front that had a great "Dave for VP" sign. I took a solid photo of it: http://i.imgur.com/Rxr23zN.jpg

I was able to bring in a camera, and there were tons of media there. I think it would have been easy to tape without the tower rigs they use at shows, but no way in hell they would have allowed the tower things. There were Secret Service agents everywhere, they wouldn't have been cool with something rising 25 feet above the crowd pointed at the stage. But I bet somebody could have gotten a decent taping with a portable recorder.

From what I heard somewhere else, the guy had his wires and mics under a hat running to a pack. Props to him for taking the risk. Just one more reason I love and respect all our tapers.
