I said "what's the difference?" Although I coulda went with the one I've actually had. New York style. And Pizza Hut's chicago, I'm guessing, is nothing like the real thing.

I basically look at it like this...

new york style is that cheap greesy shit you get at 4:30am coming home from the bar to soak up the alcohol in your stomach

chicago style is a meal, a pizza you get for the taste

There's a place here in Louisville called Spinellis that makes New York style pizza, and it is absolutely the best food I have ever tasted. I've never tasted a better food. There is no food that has entered my mouth that is better than the pizza from Spinellis. My girlfriend, who has been to New York, tells me it is better there(she has had both). I am now determined to get to New York within the near future if for no other reason than to eat at Ray's pizza. One month ago I was in Chicago and a few buddies and I ate at Pizza Due (exact same as Pizza Uno just a different building a block away). It was good, but it can't touch New York.

I have never in my life took a bite into a pizza and not liked it.

While I have not actually sampled authentic new york pizza, I greatly prefer the thin crust over the deep-dish.

New York gains a slight lead...

Shit, new york has awful pizza. Does any one really claim new york's known for its pizza? Maybe some places in brooklyn, thats it.

New Jersey...now they have good pizza. I'm dead serious, all jokes aside...huge italian population there, and they actually care about how they make their pizza unlike New Yorkers. Never had Chicago pizza though.
