But no I didn't see it, I wish I had. I saw them back in October in Cincy and it was an amazing show. I'd had missed them the year before at the VFC show in Dayton because of a flat tire, so I wasn't going to miss a second time. They were one of my choices for opening acts for the 2006 tour on the warehouse poll.

Didn't even realize they played there, or I definitely would've gone.

Excellent purchase, I'm gonna buy some glassware from their online store I think.

I immediately associated the name My Morning Jacket with punk for some reason too. They are not AT ALL punk. For an acoustic sound give "Golden" a listen, but "Magheeta (sp?)" is probably a more accurate representation of what they're all about.

I picked up It Still Moves almost a year and a half ago and it's still in heavy rotation in my player. Their new album "Z" has been getting awesome reviews. Only song i have heard off of it is "Off the Record" and it was fantastic, i have a long list of cds i need to go buy.

Wordless Chorus is a great song from their new cd. It's one of my favorites by them.

Dogfish Head beer rocks. I had it for the first time in December. I think the India Brown Ale is my favorite.

Personally I like the Bear the best off of "Tennessee Fire", but Heartbreakin Man is a good song.

you know, i loved bermuda highway until i read the lyrics.

when he says "your ass it draws me in like a bermuda highway" it just turned me off, i mean it seems like a nice emotional song and the word ass just doesn't fit.

"your eyes they draw me in like a bermuda highway" fits just as well and is way more poetic sounding then ass.

is jim james the guys real name? I mean who names their kid james james?
and if not who changes their name to james james

so. I do believe. none of this is physical
    at least not to me
    so, I do believe
    that anywhere it goes
    t's always with me
    it's not the dream
    that makes you weak
it's not the night that makes you sleep
    but it's a voice. and it's a choice
to call you out. or stay at home
    so! I do believe
    none of this is physical
    at least not to me
    so I do believe
    that anywhere it goes
    it's always with me
it's not the beast. it's not the sheets
so soft and warm. all over me
but it's the touch. you need so much
to move around on this green earth
take your money and your drugs
take your money and your drugs
    to anyone who wondered
what old jebus meant to me
take him out to go diving
    in red patoka sea
the brain melts in the twilight
with the boar and moving trees
your skin looks good in moonlight
and god damn those shaky knees
the fact that my heart's beating
is all the proof you need

I love MMJ! I've been a fan for a while now, maybe 2 years as a moderate fan, but about a year ago I began to really get into them.

One Big Holiday is my favorite song.

this is pretty wild, i've never gotten into them. admire there stuff, just hasn't clicked with me, Maybe listening to the wrong songs.

I can remember hearing about this band from a guy on my dorm floor like 6 years ago. Always weird when bands get big and you saw them or heard of them WAY WAY before they actually break through.
