I think so. Truth be told, I never liked that song so I don't listen to it much. But I was always under the impression that "An' Another Thing" had subtle differences that essentially made it it's own song. But according to the Almanac, it's the same song and I'm a complete idiot.

    QUESTION:

has the band ever performed What Will Become of Me? i know it's mainly a Dave and Tim thing attached to Jimi Thing. just wondering if the band took a stab at it. especially on any live release.

(trying to tighten up my catalog)

    thx in advance

    ANSWER:

It appears not. Carter hasn't played on it according to the almanac.

Yes. Both of these yes. The jams they could do on Alligator Pie would be unbelievable. That is part of what frustrates me about DMB right now, is that I feel like there is so much more of their catalogue they can dive into and get creative with. I don't know why they ever stopped playing Alligator Pie in the first place.

Unfortunately the days of DMB jamming songs out has gone away i feel. Most songs now are just about the same length every show, and now its not uncommon to see entire shows that have few or no songs over 10 min.

So everyone on Facebook is doing the "I've seen 9 of these 10 bands, which haven't I seen" posts (I'll admit they're pretty fun). One girl decided to be different and posted "I'm not living in the past, I'm looking forward. So instead of 9 bands I've seen, here are 10 that I'm going to see over the next 3 weeks." The very first one she listed was "Dave Matthews Band"

    She's in for a surprise!

How far in advance are summer tours booked? I know announcements are typically made in Jan/Feb meaning the scheduling would start taking place in the fall correct? I ask because it's getting to be pretty close to time for the band to internally decide on what 2018 will look like. Obviously there won't be an announcement to the fans until probably January at the earliest, but it's close to time for them to decide if they are playing or not.

I remember hearing that in past years the band would begin scheduling for the next year very soon after the conclusion of a tour. I would think that based off of what both Boyd, Carter, and people with inside sources said, the band already has a basic idea of what they will be doing in the next year or two. It would be great if we could find out what those plans are before Jan/Feb. I personally have my fingers crossed for a spring tour.

    this one looked good:

DMBLive First Union Center, Philadelphia, PA 11-30-1998

    with Bela and all.

until i read the description and it said "This particular Fall 1998 performance only exists as a two track board mix, but the musical prowess and energy of the evening still shine through. A great sound has been captured."

does anyone have this? does it sound like shit?

All Dmblive are two track recordings. Multitrack is for LTs. It sounds fine.

I wonder if there are other '98 shows they only have the two track recordings for. They need to dump what else they have from '98 on us at once. We'd collectively eat all that up.
