^^^i think this is fascinating. definitely more notable in terms of pure respectability and accomplishments (though not known name) than a lot of the names thrown out so far.
i guess if one digs into their own town history there's probably way more important people maybe not known by name than those we're listing, but here's my list (thanks for this thread I learned a LOT about people that came out of my hometown!) I knew about a lot of these but was surprised by some (Rodney King!).
