It`s like Dave thinks, they play to total new audience and plays a lot of the same songs every night. I´ve been to all the last tours since 2007 (sad to remember that 2001 was cancelled due to 9-11, when they were supposed to play my hometown) and i`d appreciate a bigger variety in the song selection.
I guess i`ll have songs like ants marching, don`t drink the water e.g. in Frankfurt, Düsseldorf and Amsterdam, while other songs i´d love to hear will be missed.
I´d love to hear some of the rarities you might hear in the US, when you`re about to see them three times. say goodbye, shotgun, pigs, jane, the dreaming tree... won`t show up.
With this knowledge, i would have thought about buying three tickets and travel to these places.

I couldn't agree more... With 1/4 of the tour done, there seems to be a clear trend for the hits (Ants, DDTW, Satellite, SMTS, WWYS and not a hit, but Death on the High Seas played every single show), which I don't mind, but as you said, where's Granny, BOWA, Recently, Typical, Minarets, Beach Ball, You Never Know?...
I hope they prove us wrong, but this seems to be heading in the same direction as previous Euro tours, with very predictable setlists, and even though I know I'll still appreciate the 3 shows I'll be going to, expectations regarding song selection are now considerably lower than what they were before the tour started...
Lazy Dave...
