Well I already picked up the 4 pav tickets anyway and pretty happy with the seats. Also looking for 4 pav (or 2 pairs) or pit to Alpine either night. I know tons are but figured I would mention it.

Really considering this show. Anybody want to make a good case to convince me driving 5 hours is worth it!? Venue, area around the venue, etc.

As the self appointed liason to this gig, I'll do my best though five hours is a haul imo to a "non destination" show:

-seats should be easy to find still
-lawn isn't bad if you don't want to spend a lot of $$$
-parking is standard awful getting out
-pre drinking has a lot of good spots. Most go down the road to game place (brain fart cant think of it). If you want to bar hop, one absolutely awesome place nearby is Main St. in St. Charles. 17 bars in a half mile radius and about 3 miles from venue.
-crowd is usually kinda stale but the venue gets good set lists somehow
-its technically a weekend show so if you make a weekend of it go see St. Louis.
-if poker is your thing, there is a Hollywood casino with a great card room nearby

Back to my earlier post, Main St has quite few beer gardens available too which is nice. NO TAILGATING AT VENUE THOUGH

Thanks for the info! With it being the holiday weekend I don't have to worry about getting work off. Looked into it and it's actually closer to a 4 hour drive. Not terrible.

I do enjoy a nice casino and always up for visiting a new place I haven't been (venue and casino lol). Seems like decent seats are still out there. I'm really leaning towards adding this stop

I decided. I'm in!!! Looking forward to my first visit to the venue. I'll just throw it out now, looking for a single Pit or Lower ticket. I know there are plenty of uppers left, but would be cool to be close for this one. Any help is appreciated!

Looking forward to any pregame festivities as well if there's any going on

Hey MHeieser, just so that you can get a feel of the venue, here's two of my six videos from last years St. Louis/Maryland Heights show. If you jump to about the 6:00 minute mark, you can see that Dave's guitar tech is a little late bringing him another guitar. Tim's wincing expression of the situation is funny. I don't know if Dave busted a string, or what. Things really get cranked up at around the 11:45 mark. Trumpeter Nicholas Payton was unreal.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VWJ1AYJWDps

Here's Jimi! It gets to the meaty part at the 8:45 mark. Great show!

To add to a few of the recent posts, pre game action at Dave and Busters is a veteran move. Drinking in the lots is frowned upon which is a huge buzzkill. I've been around the block enough to anoint this amphitheater your typical cookie cutter venue. With Saint Louis being Tim's hometown, the band is usually in good spirits.Year in, year out, Stl gets quality sets. With this finally being a weekend show and management not slotting Saint Louis on the one off mid week show, I see this being a more lively crowd than much of the past decade. I'm looking forward to a great show, and forecast this to be one of the best gigs this spot has seen in recent memory.

Warehouse Instant ticketing. They drop a small amount of tickets for each show a month or so before each show. STL was part of series A that dropped today. High demand shows are gone within minutes. I believe Alpine is series C and won't drop till may or June.

If you get in quick enough you request and are confirmed instantly for the level you choose. Seat locations aren't known until they ship though. Just price level when you buy

I'm flying solo to this show. First time at the venue. Got a single $85 reserved through instant today. Are the $85's only the lower seats or does it include the next level up? If lower section only, of off to far edges on either side, is there a limited view? Anybody?

Looking at WH seating chart under tour dates, it appears that 85 is lower only. It will be anywhere in the orange. Unsure of how the angles will be from the edges.

Far side at any shed has a limited view. That said, if it's too bad, I'm sure you will find an empty single closer to middle once the show starts. I wouldn't worry about it.

If someone is interested in trading their 2 pit tix for 2 reserved seats (and extra $$ as I assume pit was $85 or more versus these $75 tickets) the seats are:

    QUANTITY: 2
    SECTION: Center
    ROW: Z

Looks like 3rd row, center stage - behind soundboard. The rows start at "X" and go to "ZZ"

I also got 2 lower reserved (as I thought I would be requesting pit via Instant Ticketing but was really only requesting lowers). Unsure seat locations.

***I also have not gotten my TM tickets for Bonner Springs, ryguy637.

****And assuming our crew may come through D&B for pre-show debauchery. About 6 of us from KS/MO and 2 from OH.

So no tailgating in the actual venue lots at all? Do they just try to rush you inside or do they really crack down hard on drinking? We're staying at the Homewood Suites right next door so I suppose we could have a few there, but it's just not the same.
