How hard is it to get pit tickets?

I posted in the Star Lake thread that I think I'm more excited that Blossom is still on the schedule than I am dates actually being released.

Got pit through the WH last year.

Pit tickets are doable. Go after them on the Citi presale. WH sucks with them.
My friend always finds them on Ticketmaster the day of for me.

Pretty hard - the Pit here is quite small.

Any tips on getting pit tix? I've never quite figured out the whole ticket ordering thing. I did however get decent tix on ticket drop last year for VA Beach

Can't wait this will be lucky number 13 for me at Blossom! Happy it's a Saturday again, not thrilled that it's in May though, but it will be a great night for sure. Looking to add another show or 2 since 2017 is a break, unless they change their minds after they get into the Rock Hall next year.

Looking forward to the return to this venue, as well. Blossom was really the only surprise on the announcement today for me. Bristow, Burgettstown, Camden, and WPB were already basically confirmed via the rumors. I was PUMPED to see that Blossom got a Saturday show. I can actually make it to this one now, and I get a show in may. Was worried there wouldn't be one in there that I could do, so this is perfect.

Really hope we get a set like you guys got last year to kick off this tour right!

Should be back here for my first time in 10 years. Had to get at least one more show with no summer 2017.

Plan on going to this one...although, we have a baby due in early June, so it may have to be a game day decision. Will 100% be in Columbus though.

I've never been to this venue, we are hitting it up for the first time this year. What can you guys tell me? Tailgating....how is it? What's parking like? Any info for inside the venue? Any other tips would be extremely helpful. We are staying at the Hampton inn in Akron. Any good nightlife around?

Parking - it is worth it to buy the premier parking. With the show in May, if it rains and you are in the grass lots, you're not gonna have a good time.

Tailgating - it is very chill. The venue is in the Cuyahoga National Forest so grills are not permitted. As long as you keep your beverage in a cup and don't call attention to yourself/group you will have a good time.

Inside the venue - sound in the pavilion is fantastic. The venue was designed specifically for the Cleveland Orchestra, so the acoustics are amazing. They have great food options inside the venue, and last summer they had a great craft beer selection. A few local food trucks will be (looking at the stage) to the right of the stage.

Tailgating is fine. Cops are more noticeable, but only looking for Underage or idiots. Personal Grills are fine. We Cook every year and so do a bunch of others. Not sure I ever noticed a full size one though. Most people hang around their own groups and stay under control.

Since DMB didn't release their first album until 1993, they won't be eligible for the RnR hall of fame until 2018. So it makes sense to ride their induction with a return to touring in 2018, and a new album.

this venue has the biggest difference between lawn and pavilion that i've been to

it's worth every penny to be under the roof here

The people are pretty young and drunk on the lawn here. I would never do lawn here again but I don't do lawn at shows anymore.

Can't wait! This will be my 13th time at Blossom I believe. I live 10 minutes away so I love that they keep coming back. Love that it's a Saturday. Hoping I can get a closer single ticket than in years past, I keep getting in the 30s, and I go right when they are on sale and request 1 ticket. I used to get super close when I did that but presales and scalpers ruined it.

Tim, I bet it's been close to a decade since we were at the same show. I'm planning to drive out to Blossom from Virginia to meet up with my brother from MI. I haven't been to Blossom since 2007. Hope to see you there!
