    I just don't see it. his value is at a total low point. they have him under contract for two more years, which is more time for their prospects to graduate to the majors. trading him now would be a total panic move.

    Had a great time at the Marlins-Cubs game today, Marlins have matched their best 75-game start since 2004. Gnats are falling apart at the seams, we've got ourselves a division race!

    Thanks the beauty of no-runs BMC... they can set the price and move on if somebody doesn't like it.

    Betances isn't even eligible for arbitration until next year, Miller is under contract for two more years after this one, and Chapman is gone after this year anyways.

    If their price is an inexpensive, elite lefty power bat, they aren't gonna get anything done. I do think we'll wind up doing a trade with the Yankees, but Schwarber won't be involved. Theo isn't about to give up one of the best young hitter in the game for a guy that comes in for an inning. We need bullpen help no doubt, but I trust that the FO will be smart about it.

    Marlins need immediate bullpen depth, Rodney has been lights out this year. Paddack wouldn't have even been on the 25-man roster until '19 or '20 at the earliest. Either get the help for a playoff push right now or hold your cards and hope for the best years down the road.

    At the very least, the Rodney/Ramos combination in the 8th and 9th innings will turn most Marlins games into a 7 inning affair this year.

    Seemed silly to me they picked a wonky matchup like Braves/Marlins, but the Braves are technically the "home team" of the Carolinas and the timing just worked out that the Marlins were in town. Hopefully more sports do stuff like that on a regular basis.
