Agree with this. While I'll stop short of saying he's a "weapon" I think he presents some interesting match up gaps that could be used to our advantage. Could see him being used as more a hybrid role and then fill in at RB sparsely throughout the season, but with some reassurance that if one of our top 2 RBs go down, he can step in to help out more permanently.

Hyde has always been a really reliable player but I don't think he was ever a piece to build around. He was a really sound football player, but never a game changer.

Hyde signs with Buffalo, and that's too bad, but they made him the 14th highest paid safety in the league. I don't know if I'd want TT to give a nonstarter that much.

I have often wondered over the years, have the Packers unwillingness to invest in FA caused them to miss championship windows. They are one of two franchises in my lifetime to have back to back Hall of Fame quarterbacks and over those decades only have two Super Bowl wins to show for it.

I am not saying I want them to throw bad FA money around every offseason, but I want to see them address their holes and deficiencies and the draft hasn't always been the best option. Now I will fully admit, that they probably know more than me and have more information, but it does seem like as organization, they've missed out on some opportunities to improve the team.
